This seems good value in my eyes, for an RS Ford:

Which it's not

ON THE LOG BOOK ITS A FIESTA 1.1 CLASSIC ( LOAD OF OLD MOT AND INVOICES )
RS1800 ENGINE AND GEARBOX ( WAS TOLD THE DONOR WAS ON 87,000 MILES )

Although, technically the shells are interchangeable, it's always going to be less valuable.

To get £6k all they needed to do was "Ring it"

Its a cheap way into the scene and only wankers would really care about the lack of genuine RS v5.

Still registered as a 1 litre, up to the new owner to change.

Ah, this just reminds me of the good old days on Barry Boys. Undeclared engine swaps everywhere.

Don't you need proof of where and what that engine came from these days? Sort of had a brief encounter with this issue when looking at scoobied up vw transporters.

Headed note paper from a VAT registered garage, or other engineer, to verify the engine size and engine number.  I assume that DVLA can check if engine number relates to a stolen car.

HA! Fair enough mate!

That'll learn me to read things properly.

Sorry for being a pedantic fucker, but that should read "That'll teach me...."

And here's the Coupe de ville.  eBay has two of these turkeys up tonight, I'll take the J.R.G. '87 to go with the Econoline please, a perfect winter beater.

I could sit there, I really could.  Then I wouldn't be able to see this.

@rantingYoof this is the Omega you have always promised yourself. An early 2.0 in base spec (I think this is the legendary "Select" trim level).

No wood trim, just grey plastic.

Alloy wheels which somehow manage to look like discount wheel trims.

A steering wheel out of a Cavalier (not even worthy of a proper Omega steering wheel).

I cannot believe how utterly miserable it is. It's brilliant. To top it all off, it comes with a year's MoT, so you can enjoy the absolute misery for a full calendar year for only £650.

There’s a guy on Speak EV who in 2014 claimed to have bought all of the spare parts from the company that did these who I assume went bust.

They were £18,550.
