And to sound even more like a broken record, here's another very clean super cheap 1st gen LS400.

 

Mileage reads 1017 miles. ( Dont Know Why!)

 

Because the cluster circuit board failed and the owner bought a new one instead of fixing the old cluster. According to the MOT history this has been the case since at least 2006.

I just posted this in the Malaise FB group, Im wondering if Cadillac ever built these in RHD, havent read up on that yet. Looking at the condition of the dashboard, someone might have converted it at one point...

Apparently so.....but I can't remember seeing any during my school days. Ten grand car back then! The RHD builds didn't have the windscreen wiper direction corrected - or at least the one in the eBay auction doesn't.

CAR put one in a Giant Test , against a Silver Shadow, Daimler Double Six and 450 SEL 6.9. Mostly for comic effect, I think.

The front page headline was; Britain still makes The Best Car in The World... but it's not the Rolls Royce.

Made a big impact on a 13 year old me.

Someone posted a link to that comparison, I had a quick read through it, it seems like it was by far not as bad as they thought it would be, the RR on the other hand was the worst car in many aspects.

According to the internet, it is officially an interference engine but people have had belts snap without any interference.
