Anyone ever replaced the horn on a 2003 Blingo?

   :)

I'm hoping there's a way to do it without removing the bumper, because that scares the shit out of me.

You could just lob a train horn on the roofrack. Seems simpler.

Quick question. The headlining on the Audi keeps dropping so i need to pin it up, what is the name of the pins and where can i find them?

I didn't realise there was two threads the same, stupid Tapatalk. I'll move this to the other thread. Thanks Richard.

Wait until next week and ask nicely.

Fucking bastard Kangoo van still doesn't have a working clutch pedal despite taking the drivers seat and bulkhead out so I can get better access to the pedal box

Anyone ever had to replace the pedal linkage on a Kangoo or Clio and know how other than being a fucking contortionist you can get the rod onto the ball joint above the pedals??

Caravan indicator has stopped working. Checked bulb and it seems ok. Previous owner looks to have worn through the cable near the a frame and jointed the cable back together and taped it up. Would this botch be a good place to start trying to fix it?

If the standard banging on the light lens with your fist and jiggling the plug hasn't made it work it sounds a likely candidate, though I would say more likely would be where it (presumably) scotch locks onto the cars wiring.

Daves caravan and trailer tail light fault-finding flowchart.....

-Check the bulb. Change if needed.

-If bulb ok, use meter or test lamp to check for 12v at bulb holder.

-if yes, spend 15 minutes fucking with contact cleaner, wet n dry and pointy pliers to get cheap bulb holder to make clean contact

-if no, use meter to check for 12v out on car wiring plug. (google 12N pin-out diagram)

-If no 12V at plug, spend 40 minutes untangling birds nest of wires and scotchlocks behind boot trim panels to find problem.

- If yes, check caravan plug, clean and bend pins to make good contact.

- Still doesnt work? check for wiring damage between plug and tail lights. There is likely a junction box nailed to the floor somewhere at the back of the van where it splits left and right. Check for water damage.

- still doesnt work? open the wiring plug, find all the terminals to be blobs of rust, cut it off and fit a new one.

- Still not working? fuck it, indicators arent that important anyway.

Fitted a tow be to mine last weekend, was adamant I wasn't going to use scotchlocks because they're such a nightmare for dodgy connections

So yeah it's all scotch locked on and working fine at the minute...

/\ quality i dont have a meter but have done the 3rd part yesterday along with a blast of wd40 in all the sockets. Dad use to do this with his, then loads of green stuff came out and he then spent hours rewiring the whole thing.

Just thinking car has not towed since it has had a full repaint and the tail lights etc would have been out. There is loads of towbar wiring in that area as well might look at that first before blaming the van.

Hand signals are still legal.

(Don't quote me on that, the Police might have a different opinion).

Digital meters can be misleading, a corroded connection can still show 12v but not have the grunt to light a bulb. A test lamp is sometimes more useful.

Why does my seven series' rear seat belts go the opposite way to pretty much every other car ever? They reel out from the inboard side and clip on the outboard side next to the door.

Only if you can neck 23 pints at one sitting................

It's 0.5% ABV so you'll be pissing like a horse every 30 seconds long before you get tipsy.

Top Deck (drink)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Top Deck was a low alcohol shandy drink available in a variety of flavours and marketed to children in the United Kingdom from the 1960s to the 1980s.[1] It was a brand of theBeecham Group until 1986 when it was sold along with the more popular brand Tango, along with the UK franchises for Pepsi and 7-Up, to Britvic.[2] It is believed that Top Deck ceased to exist in the mid 1990s.

Lyca or lebara aren't bad for euro data, I used a Lyca sim card for my hols last year and got 1gb data to use in .nl for a tenner. Three have no roaming charges in France, Italy and Spain so worth a look, you could get a 30 day sim only contract from them with many data. Either way you might have to not tell them it's going in a mifi thing as they're not always cool with them. Sadly there is still not 1 cheap option for all of Europe, depends where you're going.

Thanks I'll gamble a tenner on one of those and see how it works out, my backup plan will involve an old VHF TV aerial to steal WIFI.

For Euro data, I buy three sim (data only) £5 for 1gb for 30 days, £11 for 3gb lasting 90 days. I pair it with an unlocked mifi off eBay for £25 job done. Three include lots of Europe without roaming charges which is great - no contract just payg and the mifi means you can share multiple devices with just one sim

Strange overheating issue with Mrs Concern's Clio Mk1 1.4. Noticed the gauge right near the top after a spell in a jam then a short dual carriageway blast. The rad fan didn't come on when we stopped in a jam again so put heater on hot with fan on. We turned around & drove normally on NSL roads, but temperature didn't drop despite keeping heater on.

Later checked fan by shorting with a paper clip & it works, but when the car left running it doesn't come on. To me this points to faulty rad fan switch, but does not explain why temp didn't come down with normal driving. I checked coolant level which was fine and when squeezing either the top or bottom hoses it moves the coolant in header tank. Any ideas?

Have they changed some driving rules on our roads?

I always thought that if you were at a junction say waiting to turn right and the car facing you was also turning to his right that you both drove to the rear of each others vehicle and did the turn... now some road markings are marked so that you do the turn in front of the facing vehicle :0

how is this right if the vehicle facing you is a bus/lorry then you won't see what is coming down on his inside lane of traffic..
