Yes and no, we’ve been here just over a year and it’s descended into chaos a bit and people that we know that have lived here for a long time say that it’s gotten quite bad… and personal shenanigans that’s put me off the place a bit

Hey all, was recommended this forum by someone at Fotu a few weeks back. Thought I'd introduce myself and give it a try!

Here's my two; a '89 Carina II estate

And a '83 Corolla Liftback

Looking forward to chatting to you all!

Mr2 mk1a wheels on a Carina estate! They look excellent!

Thanks! A lot of people point them out at shows and say how much they love them on there!

Nice, I had a J reg one for a good while, it was superb. Regretted changing it for an Avensis.

Hello neighbour, Heath Hayes calling!

Cannock is well-known within this electronic parish.  We used to visit the auctions near Longford House regularly, shiters would travel from far and wide!  A couple of brave souls even left with an extra car...

I used to live in Heath Hayes, just behind the doctors surgery. We moved a few years ago over to Hednesford due to needing/wanting a larger detatched house.

My partners Delta was up for sale on eBay but I've just noticed the auction has been ended. Wonder who ended up with that.

I was recommended this site about a year ago by a mate shaking his head while I'd got another old car in bits. Since then I have been lurking in the background but thought it was about time I introduced myself.  I've had old cars of the right vintage and decrepit state to qualify for these pages, mainly Japanese but with the odd fiat, ford and a wolseley thrown in for good measure. Current steeds are a 2014 accord, which is a bit new I admit, and a 2001 jdm import rav4. You can't miss the rav, it is bright white, but despite my misgivings it is a bloody handy bus. The direct injection engine has caused me some head scratching (perhaps one for a thread) . Anyway - Hi all!

Welcome, is your AS name a musical reference?

Thanks - it comes from the reg of an old avensis I had which looked a bit like Ronkey so it got that name. It kinda suited the car too.

Well, some poor sucker (who will need to be put in the village Stocks over the weekend when he is found out) has let me in. Now, I have absolutely no idea what the rules are so forgive me if I make some up as I go along. My current shitter is an Astra Van, which could really use new front and rear bumpers, if that gives you any clues. But I am seriously considering buying a VW Corrado, the 16 valve, not the VR6 - if it was a VR6 I would have already bought it!

Thank you! The R8 is a great car I bought it off a Gentleman back in 2020 who couldnt drive anymore. I bought it for £800, didn't really do much to it, to get it up to standard and it featured in the Concours Last year at FOTU!

Quick intro, had 30+ cars in my 25 year driving history, always loved a bit of shite.  Best was my lads samara bought off eBay for £72, engine used to cut out when I turned right.  Swapped it for a kilt (hire only).

I picked my wife up for 1st date in a hearing aid beige Rover 213 with carpet stuck to the roof.  Somehow I didn’t scare her off.

no shite at present but have space on the drive :-)

Hi - long time lurker on here and very occasional poster on the "other" blue/grey forum.

Based in Northants and a lover of generally shite cars with an extensive AS history ranging from Fiat 127s (I had two), Talbot Samba S, Series 3 Landy, Citroen ZX TD, through various (8 at last count) VW vans (currently on a T4) and plenty of boring company cars as dailies.

Current fleet is an 04 Mk1 TT 3.2, a 96 VW T4 Westfalia and a 22 Tesla Model Y  - plus a selection of two wheeled toys.

Got long term hankerings for an early 80s Saab 900 and a Renault 4 van which will need to be scratched at some point. :)
