What a fucking mess, I'd run a mile before touching anything on that car, you know something will break/get broken and the car will be sold at a huge loss because the owner has ruined it, people who bolt loads of shit to cars are generally clueless fools who think adding everything in the ripspeed catalogue to their usually crap motors is a good idea.

If it was a dog, I'd shoot it!

This is amazing. The blue trim paint job looks a lot like the custom work I did on my Dreamcast as a young lad.

Just read through the whole thread. So many unpredictable twists and turns! You're a good guy for always dealing with the fallout.

What he said.

It's just pure, unadulterated jealousy. Please encourage him to do more stuff like that to the Vectra, he's only doing what any one of us would do if we had the skills.

Im genuinely interested in what kind of person has the mindset that any of this would be remotely acceptable. Could you give me a description of the owner so I know in the future what type of person I should stay far, far away from before losing it?

He's clearly just a man with a taste for performance tuned Japanese style exotica but with an eye for bargainous German executive saloons on the blue pages.

I quite often make a point of checking out the drivers of cars with barried number plates etc to see if there is a pattern.  I could offer some statistical analysis but I am acutely aware that I am operating on a random anecdotal sample picture and as such it would be wrong to draw any conclusions.  I have a similar view about cars driven in an apparently random manner without any obvious attention being paid - although I do feel able to say the cause there is frequently attributable to smartphone use.

I can say with confidence that it is safer to avoid any vehicle being driven by a person wearing a hat of any kind.

He is just making the interior a more pleasant place to be while he waits for the AA.

I can only imagine the vibration caused by passing any kind of power through the larger of those speakers.  Great enhancement to the dodgy sound as produced by the originators of the music - a bit like that old Maccy D advert of the bloke banging on the side of his mate's van to save on an expensive stereo.

How have I missed this thread, it's mega funny, please encourage the continued defacement of otherwise average cars.

Props to you for your patience.

Luckily he is a step father in law and has no kids of his own!!

The speakers have a strange crackling noise when the stereo is not even on?

and I am trying to get a picture of the 'custom boot install' for your viewing pleasure.

Did I mention as well that he went and got the car valeted somewhere and they pressure washed off a lot of his exterior blue paint work in patches. Nice shiny unkeyed silver paintwork underneath though.

Erm, does he know (or care) that there is an airbag behind there? In the event of an accident he'll likely have those gauges embedded into his face.

Amplifier under the seat?

How have I missed this thread until now?  This is incredible!

Was just thinking exactly the same. Started from midway page 3, now need to go from the start.....

Were Xzibit or Tim Westwood involved in the making of this car?

That A pillar "install" is flipping awesome, I reckon you could lose a bus in that.

Great thread.

It reminds me of a lad I knew when I was a kid. I sold him a bodykit off something, I forget what. I told him it would fit his Escort and to be fair, it did. Well, it was attached anyway but it looked ridiculous.

Won't Mr MOT tester probably have something to say about it too (other than "WTF IS THAT" followed by several minutes of barely contained laughter) as it looks to be in the swept area of the screen.

HAHAHA, I can't stop looking at at, he's spent actual time and money on it

What are the gauges measuring that's so important it needs to be six inches from your eyeball?

It's brilliant, it really is. Please encourage him. There's not enough of this madness in the world (France excluded)

Are they dry liner screws holding the pods on?!

Fucking brilliant!
