^^ That poor little dog has to put with an awful lot of shit :)

She almost looks resigned to it all :)

Just been to see my mate who runs a local motor factor. He's been having a clearout in the cellar and had put a few NOS key fobs out for sale, thought these were a bit too nice to leave:

Has the ZX got a sunroof?  If so, there's nothing to worry about getting that in* the car.

It does actually, but I've never used it as the previous owner unplugged it from the switch as the cassette twists as it goes back, so I;ve never touched it... Maybe it is time!

Should be a grump I think but 6 people have walked past it in the office and asked what it is, and looked confused when me and the other car geek say 'an exhaust'

Missed opportunity there.  You need to start telling each person it's a different thing:  Coffee dispenser; Didgeridoo; pasta sorting device; antique lamp; monthly work bonus; Ikea furniture; Pot Noodle vending machine.  The possibilities are endless.

'pot noodle vending machine' = gets my vote.

Plausible as a Cow with no Tail ;)

Messrs Scaryoldcortina and Twosmoke[somenumbershere] are to be thanked for offering the reminder of the hit-it-with-hammers technique of getting balljoint studs out.  IT WORKED.  Nothing shattered into billions of pieces, no extra cost was incurred.  Great relief is had.

As I was getting into my car this afternoon I noticed my elderly neigbour was painting the side of his Rav-4 with bitumen roofing adhesive. On the street, in strong wind with a 3" brush. I've wondered in the past how he was getting that unique road surface look on his bumpers and trim, but now it's almost to the windows. :D I'll try and get a photo when he isn't looking.

There were only about 10 and these are the pick of the bunch. There were no other Ford fobs. Couple of Vauxhall ones but the writing was messed up, looked like a child had done it with an etch a sketch. And a broken arm.

If there is one you particularly fancy pictured drop me a PM! I didn't buy them to sell on, but what the hell do I need with 5 key fobs for cars I don't own?! I only went in for a tarpaulin and a chat....

Being ebay, I'm sure you were looking for a back bumper, windscreen rubber or for all I know a gas hob for a VW camper, but they thought you may be interested in this

Some of those 70's and 80 key rings really were crap weren't they.

I got a 'freebie' leather keyring from Ford when Mk1 ballNchain & I contacted them to say we had gone over 100,000 in our MkIII Cort.

.. it had 100,000 on it and the Ford logo & a 'World' with 4 rings around it...

In their defence on this occasion I was looking for wheels. Just wasn't clear enough what kind of wheels.

Looks like Crich, how did you end up on the cobbles?!

You read the small print on the website (or the sign next to the ticket office) that says if you turn up in an old (enough) car on a quiet, non-event day  and you're going to be there for a good while, you can be let in to park on the street.  Was bloody handy being able to leave coats/lunch etc in the car and nip back to it whenever.  Had to make sure I didn't crash into a tram.  It was quite bumpy too.

The stickers on security vans saying 'Police- Follow this van' make me smile. Who are they trying to kid?

As if the police are going to drop what they are doing the instant one of these drives by to follow it.

"Oh for fucks sake, get in the car and leave the bank robbery in progress lads, we need to follow that van with the sticker"...

Doubtful. Also have never seen any police behind these vans either. Waste of a sticker or aimed at thicky crims?

i wanna rob one of those vans just like in the Bond film "You only live twice" involving a Boeing Sea Knight helicopter and an electro magnet.

however the costs of such a caper would be far greater than what ever the bloody van had in it!!
