^ This can only be a good thing.

Two grins today, firstly cancelled the Y10's insurance with Admiral (who I use for the 940, so they put it on a Multicar policy which was the cheapest way I could find to do it).  Refund of £160 - excellent.  New insurance obtained for the Escort through Adrian Flux - £83 for the year fully comp!  I call bargain.

Second grin - getting it insured means it's finally ready to hit the road tomorrow all being well, MOT repairs were finished yesterday and it was being re-tested today so should be collected tomorrow lunchtime.

I did it on a Tesco Hudl 2 so assuming your phone has roughly equivalent power then I don't see why not. The only issue I get is a slight stuttering in the sound in races when in the middle of the pack or if something pops up from the OS running in the back ground such as if I change the volume.

I'm currently using on screen controls which are a bit fiddly but am seeing if there is a way to use a PS3 controller with it without having a PC to root it.

Xbox controller? The older, cabled ones are very amenable to P'n'P.

The Mighty Boosh approves of my offering

Boosh Breakfast seconds that.

I'm just reading about how I can remap my SEATMEGATURBO with some free software off the internet and a fucking £7 USB lead that I've already got. It's supposedly already remapped but I just read you can adjust the fuel on overrun so it crackles and stuff as you change gear. I'm really too old to want this, but I want it so bad. I was literally giggling with excitement.

I really like Alex Riley, he's on the one show right now and that crap on channel 5 too. He was good on them random programmes a few years ago on discovery type channels. He's interesting and stuff without trying and he like shite cars which is always a winner

Earlier today, Mrs_Duke had some antique program on, where two immaculately-groomed chaps with expensive clothes tried to out-deal each other buying and selling various (mostly ugly) items of value. It wasn't the one where they attempt to co-drive a hired flat-cap-classic with comedy breakdowns etc - in this they rip round the country in their own wheels.

To my delight, one (flick-haired public-schoolboy) drives a mint 740 estate in metallic blue, while the other (goatee, red trousers) drives a similarly mint E30 touring. As a bonus, the BMW driver ended up selling some stuff to a guy with a Gulf-liveried Mk1 Cortina track car in his garage.

If it's the programme I'm thinking of the cars are just a prop. Normally it's a pair of more obvious classics but I've seen them using what I consider to be new cars (i.e. later than 1983) too.

Yeah saw that.

I thought maybe the cars were part of the image thing for the punters..........'drives an old vulva you know - bloody nice bloke actually' and gets him recommended to other wealthy punters who are delighted to find a good man to buy thing from at a decent price.

Just seen an old bloke driving a Reliant Fox/Kitten pick-up. Which led me on a random Google image search where I found these campers.

I then wondered how they'd move under their own power and youtube had the answer.

Good job it was all downhill.

That can't go near any speedbump.

At least most Seat Terras have a VW 1.3D, someone at the factory was thinking ahead.

This you tube clip popped up on my you tube feed page, V12 XJC.

What an epic sounding engine.

A chap round the corner from where I used to rent my garage had (probably still has) three Foxes - a wonderfully scruffy pickup that he'd owned from new, another pickup with a Truckman top, and a tidy camper.  Needless to say he's a tad eccentric - although he was very helpful when the Scimitar blew its head gasket at the end of his road.

Never mind Cortinas, the streets are awash with Avengers, Allegros and Transits.  Nice to spot the occasional rarity too, like the Simca van early in the video, the Renault 16 and the occasional Datsun.

Quite a few Renault Sixes too... ;)

Abs not working in civic. So it means back to normal brakes. Missus moog is a happy lady as it feels good and is enjoying driving it 😊

I... I think I'm cured.  I don't want ANYTHING from the eBay Tat Thread since I collected the Renault.  Could it be, am I finally free of the curse?

Nah, give it a week.

On the good news front........ the Amazon passed her MOT today. Advisory on a rear wheel bearing but that was it. Now taxed via the interweb and all road legal again. Yay.

The Fiat is playing dashboard fault light bingo again. EML is on as usual, but immobiliser fault light keeps coming on too.

SHITE. One day I'm going to snap and just bridge the bastard.

EDIT: Oops, wrong thread.
