On the subjects of Seasick Steve and grins, a self-proclaimed serious music aficionado on another forum I use, once posted to the effect that Steve was a hopelessly under-talented try-hard, and that the true measure of a blues artist was how close they came to Clapton. He even asked rhetorically whether Steve could ever write a song as good* as Tears In Heaven. He wasn't trolling, either.
