What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

I have no tv licence so spent a while last night watching this:

I could sit and watch a few hours of stuff like this every night.

Disappointed they don't show a bit more of the sheet folding etc.

That lot above is exactly what youtube videos should be, I hate it when people try and make them all mega TV professional. It's like watching Mark Evans "A car is born" but even better but sadly without any pete mate. I watched 3 episodes of that mini thing in the bath in a row and the water went cold and the battery on my tablet went flat.

Totally unrelated but it amuses me, I got a dog and after much consideration I called it Eddie Hitler. He's a twat and shat in our other dogs water bowl to prove a point, so I reckon it's a fitting name really.

I smell like a 1980s garage and/or multistorey car park courtesy of the Alfa we've so very nearly finished.

Most multistorey carparks smell of piss. I hope no-one has been pissing in your Alfa... or your pockets.

1980s multistorey carparks always smelled of chips, hot vinyl, oil and carcinogenic fumes I seem to recall.  New multistorey carparks smell of piss, disappointment and the tears of a thousand crushed dreams as parents shuttle their waddling needy children from one overpriced toy store to suspiciously fragranced fast food retailer.

I don't know what it is, but I find that the 'last hurrah' of an aging design is quite appealing. Especially when it's a tarted up high spec like this one.

I have recently rediscovered Monster Garage.  It's very silly.

Have you seen the one when they turn a Daimler hearse into a recovery truck ?. I went along to the filming of that one with the hearse club. It was great fun trying to get a dozen hearse's to drive around in a circle for 2 seconds of screen time. This was the UK version as I think there was  a US one as well.

The other thing that made me grin this week, was getting a parcel in the post....

Got married. Pretty chuffed. Bloody tiring though, all that smiling and socialising!

Come on man! Make with the photos of the ravishing beauty you drove to the church in.

Google Search for a 2008 VW Touran. Sorry, we didn't do wedding cars! We are proper cheapskates :-) I don't think anyone would have seen it anyway, most of the driveway was obscured and then it hammered it down with rain.

However, left the car at the venue and rang for a taxi home, having tested the bar to make sure it was working. I love taxis, they're a great chance to experience the worst in motoring with very little outlay. So I was chuffed to see a Kia Carens rock up, on a 10 plate. And then amused at the cloud of steam out the back, as we got in the driver was radioing base to say "it's getting worse". Heater was set to 26° so I can only imagine it was HGF, and the turbo whistled it's tits off all the 15 minute, £25 way home. Got us there though!

Woohoo...was at a charity dinner on Thursday, and just found out I was successful in the "silent auction" - Looks like Mrs Chegg & I are off to Lodge K in Marrakech for a week in the spring :)

Chuffing expensive, but can't wait.

Cool. Laquer over it.

I once had Brian Lopes , Cedric Gracia and Bas De Bever sign my Cap once at the MTB world cup many many years ago.

GF thought it looked a bit dirty when I got back and put it through the washing machine.

I'm going to get some clear tape for now I think. I'm wary about lacquer as it wasn't a cheap bike and I don't want to make it look shit by spazzing it up with a rattle can!

In my youth the chain gang (cycle training run) I used to frequent was occasionally joined by said Mr Boardman., if you saw him in the group you knew it was going to be a hard ride... I usually got dropped.

That needs to adorn the hairy chest of a man who drives a brown motah with velour.

Whilst in the woods, I observed this tree. Hmmm, doesn't match the other trees. Why is it here?

Ah, not a tree. Skynet obviously planning to get John Connor if he ever goes dogging.
