Non car related grin.

Went to see The Wildhearts in da smerk on saturday, and they were fookin' amazing. :happydance:

They had two support acts, The Eureka Machine, who were, pretty good, tight, but a bit "wildhearts lite".

And the first support, Baby Godzilla. Messy, slapdash, jumping up and down, screaming, no discernable tune. "Shit" was my general opinion.

But i found some stuff on yootoob, and when they're not showing off(!) they're actually rather splendid. Caution, contains RAWK and shouting. And guitars. Loud ones.

I do hope you replied and told him its worth absolutely fuck all as it is hideous.

Also, who in their right mind would spend TWENTY THOUSAND POUNDS on modifying a 1.6 Rover in the first place and even after spending such a lot of money still manage to wind up with something so shit.

Setting the money on fire would have been a better investment.

It actually looks like it's had £21,000's worth of work UNdone to it.

Curry, especially of the burning bum variety. Had 3 bowls and my poo's gonna sizzle in the pan in the morning!

I like a heat sweat from a touch of chili and the one we made at work tonight came out a bit hotter than planned. It was amusing watching the reaction of the kids (and staff) as they dipped into the bowl at the end of the group. That will learn them for taking their eye of the ball during our cooking workshop.

Also spray on under seal if much easier to apply than the brush on tin of tar I covered myself in the other day.

Finding my long lost tax disc was another bonus too.

Jesus. What the Burt Reynolds is going on with that airbrush thing on the boot? The lad needs sectioned immediately.

He also appears to have felt the need to embellish it with some sort of tribute to this twat

I bought a jar of Jalapeno peppers and have been munching them with whatever bland stuff I eat of an evening, and found in through the next day I am going to the toilet regularly through the day to pepper the bowl with magma. Whenever I see my mate she always makes me Indian food and it destroys my stomach the next day but can't stop eating the stuff, I'm a vegetarian and it's certainly a change from the cardboard I usually eat.

I love hot spicy food, curries, chilli etc.

Trouble is, I can never get anything hot enough in a restaurant and I hate asking them to jazz it up because they usually just think you're being a nob and then God knows what you'll get in it....

New job going good, I'd go as far to say I actually enjoy it. Guna take a couple of months to sort my finances out, especially as I've so much on at once. Jimp, MG, green Polonez, new interior and other stuff for beige Polonez, a poorly Convertible that still aint right, a Style that now needs dentmaster thanks to some dickhead, the Monza £150 clocks, mot and whatever else it wants *deep breath* and I need a new phone too.

Bloody hell I thought the Wildhearts split up years ago. I saw them a few times back in the day (was that really 20 years ago). Shame I missed them are they still as loud ?. Now you have got me reminising about the bands I used to like. After a quick search I also found out that the Cult are still going so booked tickets to see them in October. Haven't been to a gig for more than 10 years I must be getting old

That Rover.

Why do these fucking idiots colour-code their interiors? It always looks so pissing awful.

Heavy Metal is full of genres and sub genres, and quite right too. This is Chodmetal:

Out walking the dog and a ker-wality ERF C series wrecker growled past, the diesel music from the Eminox stack put a cheer in my weary step

There's a bunch of young lads in town who instead of going around on shitty Jap scooters they use 1980s Simson bikes.
They look after them too, they've got a garage near me where they all meet and work on them.
There is hope for the future yet.

I've been enjoying the steep learning curve of stick welding holes in the sill of my brother's Rover.  Okay, so it's not easy and it's not the normal way of doing things, but I'm finding stick quite intuitive even if building up weld to fill small holes from the dent pulling - the sill had been bashed in by a previous owner - is one of the trickiest things to get right so far.  We're just making the sill sound for the MoT in a few weeks and then we'll hand the Rover over to a pro to get the sill ends properly restored.

Wahey!

If such well behaved juveniles were in my town, I'd encourage them even more by dropping a sixpack or two at their garage.

On my way back from work today, my shite-o-meter went deep into the red zone, as I saw a purple-and-yellow Dutton Phaethon pulling a matching trailer !!!

I reckon the chap has won Autoshite outright, and doesn't even know about it !

Strewth!

A Dutton Phaeton remains the only vehicle I've yet driven that has, on separate occasions admittedly, lost its roof and its gearbox during the journey. It's a one-vehicle win/lose combination.

It seems to be the only way to do these? I don't think I've ever seen a camper without paint runs/crazing/filler 'proud' of body.

I was going to add, at least there won't be flies, but that lighting will have moths and beetles rolling round in that reflective white paint within minutes.
