Ta gents.MAISTROW=EPIC FAIL! Beaten to it :(I have decided to try and find a Nova for my lad when he's 17 now, that way he can learn to drive in it, do it up (trainee mechanic) and I can drive it if needed.Any talk of bodykits or spoilers and he'll be living it.

Ah, nevermind. If you wait long enough somone will give one to you, or wait until Mk.B has fully restored the one you missed out on and buy it at a bargain price.

I actually (a rare thing to do on my course) replaced a part on a customers car in college today, and I got such a rush.It was an M reg Nissan Sunny 'Sequel' and the part was only an exhaust back box. And it was either a slightly dodgy part or the wrong one, as I had to cut off one of the old exhaust mount rods and then (get the teacher to, as for some reason I wasnt allowed to weld it, even though Im regarded as the best welder in my class. Sorry to blow my own trumpet but I never get told things like that) weld it on the new one. Tell you what, it had a suprising amount of rust on the rear suspension.

Overheard in a barbers this afternoon:

Customer: [looking through a window] "I know him from somewhere, what’s his name?"

Proprietor: "It’s ***** ****. He owns **** Haulage; they’ve got four Sprinters."

Customer: "Oh" [long pause]. "So what do they do then?"

Proprietor: [patiently] "They deliver things."

Customer: [still looking bemused] "Oh."

seeing an albatross colony, the only mainland one go the world. Those birds are incredible to watch (3 metre wingspan). Also some Kiwis a few days before, which are absolutely ridiculous yet brilliant. Birdshite?

Got my 1602 taxed today and back on the road since November, it had a bit of a stickly rear brake but after a few pumps of the pedal it cleared and it now drives prefectly without no problems, which makes me very happy.Just a shame it still needs welding on the sill and that the local garages have qouted me £100 + vat to do...

£100 isn't mind meltingly expensive, is it just a small patch that needs welding?I'm glad you've got your '02 mojo back, I like that car.

Letter from a debt collection co, saying they have arrested my ex's wages for the council tax i haven't paid  that made my day.

Good old "Joint and Several Liability" - nothing gets people screaming at me down the phone more than that. I can give one person a load of grief and totally ignore the other, it's mental.

Cheers Milf, Yeah i guess £100 is o.k as long as that's all it is, It's not until they start poking around at it that you get a phone call telling you that the price has gone up to £200+!.I'll have a better shop around tomorrow for a price as yesterday all the local garages were packed and most of the ones i went to turned me away as they didn't have time to look.

ARRRRRGGGGH! Don't mention beer. Had a skinful last night and it's now just a blurry haze of vodka, lager and some bottled shite that contained some sort of spirit or other.Making me grin today though is kids. Yeah it's cheesey and all that but I'm very proud of mine and they never fail to make me smile.
