Took the Panda 4x4 out this morning to have a razz about down the country lanes in the snow. :D

I came upon this abandoned in a hedge bottom. I thought it would be rude not to take a couple of snaps....

That made me grin quite a bit :D

Off to Reading tomorrow so took the Rover out and put some petrol in, as it was early afternoon I'd decided to go to Balsall Heath and do a bit of shite spotting, I knew of a Yellow Capri thats been laid up for years so decided to take the opportunity and snap it. I managed to not only get that but about 10/11 others cars, including a White Montego Estate that was originally sold by Eddy Grimstead in Essex, the same place my old 825 Sterling came from! :D

Need some time to collate all the images together including the ones from other memory cards, upload to photobucket and bash them up on my thread.

I cant watch the episode til someone puts it on the net tomorrow.

Clarkson and May go to China to look at their car market, it was a really good episode as it happens and well worth a iplayer watch, they also drove the new Roewe which is due next year in the UK as the MG 5 and some 3 wheeler shit box. Chinese Stig was interesting as well.

Cool thanks, sounds like a good one.

I have to look at on tv-links because iplayer won't work outside the UK.

It will if you spoof your IP to a UK one. That's what my Uncle does (he lives in France)

In IE -> Choose Tools -> Choose Internet Options -> Go to Connections (tab) -> Press LAN Settings (button) -> mark the “Use a proxy server for your LAN…†-> In the IP Address field, enter the IP (62.171.219.179 for UK services) -> In the Port field, enter the port (UK - 80) -> Press OK (button) -> Press OK again (button).

Reboot computer.

Wicked! Thanks, I'll give it a whirl.

Just remember to undo all that once you're done watching telly - it routes all your traffic through some random computer so don't go doing internet banking or uploading nudie videos of your sister in law to xvideos or whatever

Yeh, it was a pretty good episode but it did get me thinking what a total waste of time the UK's emission regs are when the Chinese are buying a new car every 2.3 seconds and produced 1.3 million more cars than all of Europe combined.

On a global scale perhaps but at least the air in our cities isn't thick with pollution.

Thoroughly pleasurable AS themed weekend. Minimal but rewarding time at Chez ScaryOldCortina getting ms-tone's mundano partially welded up, distracting A5 from searching for something small and mechanical in a box of other similar-looking small mechanical things, decent brew with and daylight computer-tat robbery from Scooters, modern car with silly big wheels and an auto box OMG blizzard chaos* and showing off to a handful of 5-8 year olds how fucking brilliant I am at sledging this morning with only minor shoulder and back injuries to show for it. Apart from the prospect of FUCKING WORK at 7am tomorrow, I'm pretty chipper.

*didn't crash into a Scorpio though, that I noticed

yeh, but what's the point in ramming 'climate change' as the reason for it down our throats when it's a drop in the ocean compared to the Far East?

I'd say he's in 2nd place, Billy. A true winner would have a Cav hatchback.

I am now a proud father. Dominic was born on Friday and is healthy and happy, despite the NHS's disorganization. The snow held off until the day I was due to take him home - typically, but my 'OMG SHIT IN SNOW RWD GERMAN BARGE' was awesome. Ok, so I got stuck a few times, but always got it out myself.

I'm not broadcasting pics of mini panda on the net, so you'll have to make do with a pic of the car involved.

Congrats! *Virtual Handshake*

Good job you bought a Merc, cos your tinkering time is now going to be ZERO! :D

Its all worth it though.

Congratulations!

Also, the Czechs are basically the nicest people in the world. I have been here for less than a week and I have more work offers than I need and an excellent apartment.

I no longer feel the need to drink and smoke constantly. Leaving the UK is the best thing I have ever done. I hope this run of good fortune continues. :D

Nice one with the baby Panda!

Anyway, this is making me grin. Ultimate bench test?

Certainly demonstrates how balanced a 2CV engine is... (sorry, Dyane engine).
