I've finally finished the welding in the SD1. Thanks fuck. I taxed it, drove it for one day now the tax runs out at the end of the month. GR8 value for money. I've still got a shit load of grinding and prep to do then it's getting painted in spring next year. Welding on that arch section was a total ball ache.

Was browsing through some folders on my computer earlier on and found a few photos of past tat that I didn't realise I had. Some of them were of cars I was quite fond of at the time, so it was nice to find them. Here's a few of them:

That'll probably be the same Transit spotted by someone on here a while back. Met the chap who owns it (Reliant Spares, Worcestershire) a few weeks ago. He's got STACKS of Reliants! Love that he uses a Mk1 Trannie to scoop them up.

After several weeks' worth of swearing over my geriatric PC, forcing various pieces of hardware into it then swearing some more, I've picked up a bargainicious laptop off eGay for £30. Advertised as spares/repairs, apparently the only thing really wrong is a temperamental graphics card which the previous owner couldn't be bothered to fix (occasional screen flicker but nowt much), and non-functioning wireless (probably easy to replace). Minus hard drive too obv, so in true shite style I'm now attempting to surf da net using a LiveCD from some Linux mag about 3 years ago. I might buy an external HDD tomorrow, if I can be arsed Mrs_Duke can now watch shit TV on the other lappy to her heart's content, while I search for pictures of sour-faced middle-aged european ladies on my own. Happy days.

Finally got a stereo installed in my van after owning it for about two months. It's not something thats hard work, and I've got absolutely STACK of stereo gear kicking about, but I was waiting while I'd done all sorts of other things before making the door cards that would take the speakers etc etc.

 

Anyway, the £250 speakers I bought off ebay while shitfaced 6 months ago that didn't anywhere near fit the car I had, and bankrupted me at the time, both a: Fit the van, and B: Sound fupping fantastic.

2 things made me grin today...

 

This morning (in a work meeting) a woman desribed having a smear test as 'like having a Cortina driven up your fanny and the doors opened', this led to anther woman describing how she freshened up 'down below' prior to smear test, only to discover what she thought was dedorant was actualy glitter spray...

 

Tonight I saw a matt black Transit with 'KEITH VAZZ (sic) IS A KNOB' in 2 foot high letters on the side.
