1. Pete-M's latest picture (Cromer \ 604 interface).

2. Warren's latest masterpiece.

Skillful WMYG lads, keep it up.

Also, I suspect PS will be wanting to drive that Holden off a cliff after long.

I honestly never thought you'd like my 306! Thanks for taking 130 photos of it and providing me with a new screensaver.

Over two weeks after getting home from a week in France, finally getting about 180 photos uploaded onto Flickr, fully tagged and added to appropriate sets and groups. I won’t put them all on here, but I’ll start updating my usual thread with the best ones. I was very pleased with one or two of them...

You just know how this story will end up, unsurprisingly...

The future is orange. The future is oval-shaped... :|

A shame, I really like that car. But that's so rusty I don't think even Mr Bo11ox would touch it!

I'll be surprised if he manages to repair it, but fair play to him if he's going to attempt it.

I was at a meeting today, and among those in attendance was a lady named Frances Lee. A delightful woman, who unfortunately shares a name, phonetically at least, with an all-time figure of derision for Manchester United fans. The chant goes:

"This old man

He told me

Francis Lee has got VD.."

All throughout the meeting I was giving myself an umbilical hernia rupture trying not to laugh. Fortunately, they all think I'm a bit weird anyway.

Driving home from work tonight I had a genuine WTF? moment... coming towards me was what I took from the head on veiw to be some sort of half-arsed kit car. As it drew level I realised it was a Barried up Corsa with huge extended wheelarches... and standard wheels and ride height.

I'd have a go at getting that sorted. If it was cheap enough. Seriously.

A hearty portion of lambs lettuce is an excellent natural remedy for constipation, as I found out today...the only minor issue being that I've never had a constipation problem. Fortunately, I have a store cupboard full of various 'first aid' medicines, and that's why this is not in t'other thread!

You should've been in the team of postgrad classmates of mine who, as part of a study trip to Prague, were assigned some groupwork under the guidance of the HR Officer of CEZ (state electricity company), Ms Marcela Bendova.

Jsut come back from the Beautiful Days festival. 15000 people all pretty well behaved, excellent bands including Carter and Poppies. Even police got all spotty on teh sunday (it was the dress theme). Beautiful sunshine for most of the festival it was all round excellent. Cant recommended it enough.

VW behaved immaculately. So it should with £300 new boots on it. Could do with some ommph up hills though. The 1.9D doesnt cut the mustard.

I'd have a pop at it as well although it looks like a right weldathon. It could be an interesting challenge trying to graft the roof of a berlingo van onto it or something.

Give it a couple of days and it'll be for sale, ranging from £600 down to about 27p seven days later. The money will then be used as a deposit on something else he can't fix.

I've long wanted to do Beautiful Days. You are proving why I ultimately chose not to buy that Vee Dub though - presume this is the metallic gold one from South Wales? Was very interested, but then decided a non-turbo dizzler in something that big wouldn't be fun around here!

saved me typing that

exept its likely to start at 1100 and drop to 600 in the first month, then the "im going to finish it' statement will be issued, followed by a thread about how PS really wants another car, and who will help to fix the holden, followed by a thread about how to weld, how to drive to casualty with both eyes severly weld spattered, how to weigh in aussie motors, and finally "where can i get cheap storage"

Beuatiful is probably best fest I have been to which is saying something.

Yes the one from Wales. To be fair it is in pretty good nick all round and only needed a few little jobs such as new temp sensor, new speedo cable etc. But it doesnt have the power of Bernard to pull up hills. Saying that it is much more civilised and you can have a conversation at 60 on the motorway. I wouldnt want to drive it round Wales though!

Well, apart from the general, ever-going on crap that surrounds my life and stops me from doing the the simplist things without failure, I guess there are small things to be happy for.................

Dopped into a few charity shops the other day and came out with a couple of great books - A book on Jaguar cars, Rover - The first 90 years and a launch book of the Porsche Cayenne. I also managed a few weeks back after completing my course to pick myself up one of those Arthur Daley/Del-Boy type biege Camel overcoats that I have always wanted. If fits great, apart from around my stomach area, which, lets face it, is my fault for eating a little too much :(

Also, there is a good chance my sodding Sterling may actually be repaired soon, so I'll be able to use it this week, or more likely, after I come back from Belgium which is where I'm off to in a few days time.

Ugh. Is that website genuine?!?!?

If so anyone who buys from it should have their right to vote removed.

Reminds me of Viz's efforts:

These are the coats of winners. I'm looking forward to the temperature dropping a bit so I can dust my one off again!

Seeing a Lotus Carlton in last night's rush hour! Was worthy of a massive double-take as I couldn't believe it, and I'm certain it wasn't just a Carlton GSi either. Looked like it was being used as a daily too as it didn't appear to be a cosseted example, with bird shit down one side and heavy deposits of brake dust on the wheels.

Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Paul Burrell and Jack Tweed's arresting officer.

Laughing too hard...can't breathe...

Ye gads! That BNP train costs £719 once you've bought all the pathetically decorated carriages! What are these people on?

There's a K plate Lotus Carlton i often see being used as a daily here in Ipswich, it's been up for sale on the side of a road outside a Diy shop near me for a month or more and i even saw a for sale advert for it in my local Sainsburys store on Monday, it's up for £14995.

That BNP train is beautiful, the massive 'cow catcher' on the front certainly puts one in mind of Elgar and the thwack of leather on willow.

Nick Ashford, one half of the husband & wife songwriting team of Ashford & Simpson, Died on Monday of cancer.

I'm not happy about that (gutted, in fact), but I've been playing the tunes they'd written for other artists and that put a smile on my face. A fitting tribute to a great talent.

Ashford & Simpson - Solid (As A Rock):

Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell - Ain't no Mountain High Enough; surely the template that a great pop song should follow:

The Diana Ross song of the same name; incredibly that's all it shares:

Marlena Shaw - California Soul; Ms Shaw is one of the most underrated soul vocalist ever:

Chaka Khan - I'm Every Woman; If Aretha is the Queen of Soul, Chaka is the Princess. Whitney can warble all she wants, but ain't nobody that can touch the original:

That place isn't really real, is it?

Edit: I've just seen their postal address. I'll be thereabouts on Thursday, I might swing by and see if there's a shop!

Ah Bollox spotted the American style cow catcher on the BNP Express before me! I was just about to mention it. Maybe I should email them and let them know.

This is fucking class:

Amazo, Without meaning in any way to undercut the loss, may I inquire your assessment about the duo Peaches & Herb?

Love the tracks Reunited and I Pledge My Love To You, most of their material is (IMHO) pretty standard Soul pot-fillers, but likable stuff nonetheless.

I used to do third party debt recovery for that Bradford Editions mob, the cretinous bunch of arseholes that they are. Sadly, it's all real. We always expected the furry gold plated electric cheeseboard with a koala monkey rat pig motif, but it never happened.

Ahem... As you were!
