That video left me wondering if anyone can actually drive. It all looks very slow compared to driving around the inner ring road in Manchester in the rush hour.

The tarmac at the Nürburgring is less grippy than "normal" road tarmac from what I found.  Presumably polished smooth by decades of hooning cars.

I'm not fussy, prosecco is as good as champagne after the first glass. Or there's cava if you want the full noughties hen party experience.

Cava is better than Prosecco. It’s made the same way as champagne without the snob badge.

Cava is Skoda Octavia vRS, Prosecco is Fiat 500.

If you want the 1980's hen party experience you need a few bottles of Asti Spumante (now just called Asti). It used to be massed produced and was the sparkly win of choice for people who did not like that French muck.

Bought this the other day for my new house

An intercity 225 style telephone

it’s fantastic! It even lights up when it rings

however even better, my broadband doesn’t get installed until Friday, decided for a laugh to plug it into the ancient looking master socket in the lounge

Surprised to hear a dial tone, so called my mobile

I can’t quite believe I’ve got a functioning line without a provider

Obviously getting a landline with the broadband so this was just a test

Good marketing. No one needs “Spu” in the name of an alcoholic drink.

(yes I know Spumante is Italian for “ Ha!you can’t afford even Prosecco you cheapskate!)

Would the tram leave the track if you tried to swap the first wheel?

Nearly 15 years ago, a nice old chap gave me a Citroen BX via Freecycle which lead me, fairly quickly to this website.  I was wandering round his local church earlier and spotted this wonderful tribute to him.

I ran a 2CV for some years that had been on the receiving end of his ministrations.

Broke all the rules buying it - dark, raining, oil pressure light didn't work - but it was a decent car. Although someone had fixed loose kingpins by welding them into the suspension arm. Probably not the Rev.

In the main C of E church in Leintwardine which surprised me a bit as I thought he was a catholic priest.

The brand new Princess windscreen I paid for back in June is finally being delivered tomorrow.  About £600, and it had to come via Finland for some reason, made by Pilkingtons who supplied the original screen over forty years ago when the car was new.

Wow that's decent! No waiting for porn to buffer now! 👌

Do you use the Internet enough to need that? You need to get into media piracy if not with those speeds 😂
