What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Getting into my DS, turning the key, the engine starting and the suspension raising the car as nature intended.

It's so close to looking okay it's actually annoying.  Needs a longer door and that weird 'peaked' roof line sorting to make it look right.  Probably also make the bumpers match and ditch both that weird chrome waist trim and fit a trunk that's flush rather than sitting proud.  But it's so close to being a potentially neat modern take on the old Business Coupe body shape and I'm really annoyed that it's just off the mark.

isnt miles away is it , scope for a firm to make a more accurate looking buisness coupe back end to bodge on

Traffic cops hasn't gone off air, it's gone over to channel 5. I flippin love traffic cops. Even better you can download it on bittorrent if you can't stomach channel 5

You can watch it on their catch up service as well

These two have waited fifty years or so to end up in a scooter:

and they will soon be in my fifty odd year old scooter.

The doors from the convertible version are longer  :-)

I pretty much agree.

IMHO, it needs to sit level, even if that means jacking up the front springs.

And the proportions seem all wrong, somehow.  Here's how it should look:

That's getting it right.

Oh Kate, how you suffered at my hands when that video was first out! :)

Are you sure it was Kate that suffered at your hands?

OK which one of you winners was driving a blue Austin maxi through Ilkeston ten minutes ago towing a twin axle trailer with a mini shell on it?

After nearly a months advertised on the bay, the first chap who actually came to see me old Landcruiser has just bought it and driven off in it a happy chappy.

Nice feller too, hope it don't go wrong a nice bloke but he's about 9ft high and built like a brick out house, luckily i know its a good un and he's got a decent motor for a fair price.

Just ordered this book. Looks like a cracking read, not quite 'Autoshite' but the right era... all profits go to help a local charity. Get it bought you lot. :)

Just discovered

Unfortunately you have to pay but spent most of last couple of days on there watching massive cruise ships reverse parking at Port Nassau

And aircraft at Juliana/Mayo beach live cams

Many others as well.

Santa's just been! He seems to have chopped his reindeer in for a Volvo XC90 though...

Now eva is mega mega excited, Charlie just stared at him. I lobbed a fiver into the collection bucket. Now I do like this sort of stuff about christmas! The new girl at the end wondered what the hell was going on (loud music), she only moved in 2 months ago.

I'm home alone tonight as amys out with friends, otherwise I'd jump in the car with eva and go Santa hunting for a bit!

I got the train into work today, it was chocka full, like that london, there was a bloke that looked like he was having some kind of panic attack / claustrophobic meltdown but the folk he was travelling with seemed to find it hilarious. being a concerned citizen, I turned down my headphones to discover he had a fupping huge hangover and was desperately trying to hold in his chunder until the next station - poor bugger !

I was on a late train home from London a few years ago when a very well dressed middle aged man who had obviously been on the lash managed to very noisily shit himself while half asleep.

I can still almost smell it 🤢

Followed this little lovely today down a London St.

It was loaded to the gunwhales and was rocking some extreme footwear

I'd like to think the owner had bought some land

And given up the booze and one night stands.

A colleague has been going on for ages about his "old truck", so I finally convinced him to bring it to the office on Friday.

It's a '56 F100 with a 427 stroker engine, air suspension, LSD etc etc. All the major jobs were done by him in his garage at home...kudos.

It's probably the angriest sounding car I've ever had the pleasure of following down the M4.

Surprisingly good listening, Oliva Colman talking about her shite car life.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b084bpc0

I inadvertently caught some of that in the car a couple of nights ago - the CD player gave up the ghost and reverted to the radio.

I normally won't listen to the radio, gets right up my nose but I heard it was Olivia Coleman and Victoria Coren, love the both of them (and the South Shields bint, whom I don't).

Just tried to listen following the link and just can't tolerate it - hate the radio :(

Today I passed a Kia Sportage with an OLLI sticker along the top of the windscreen.

Idiocy knows no bounds

I can't think of any 4wd that would make life harder to "LIVE" than a Kia Sportage. I'm fairly sure a Panda Sisley could wipe the floor with one, either on- or off- road.
