Next door have two cats - Dave and Daisy. Dave has cross eyes and is a bit dim.

One slightly dodgy pic, a price suggesting a smaller model, chaseracer luckily going the right way and suddenly I am the proud owner of a monster of an amp. I won't mention the price as it will make grown men cry, needless to say my grin goes from ear to ear and those ears are aching already.

I had a mate years ago who was known as "Mental". She got a kitten and called it Dave.

I will never forget the day she burst into the pub where we were all sat and shouted "Guess what? DAVE'S PREGNANT!"

Looks like someone left it out in the sun too long and it melted.

Despite a nearly 5 hour struggle inventing new swear words, the sound of a 1.4 HDI Citroen C3 start up makes me grin today :D

Nice! That looks like it's from the same family as my one, only more superiorer obviously.

Wifey had a chat with the local village Broadband/Cable rep

Managed to haggle for a tv/Internet bundle which is around 5 times faster than we got back in the UK,and will give us pretty much every Sky channel with a load on top,all for 11Lev a month......around a fiver

We needed just under 1k of fibre optic cable run to the house as we're that far from the nearest source....350lev.....£130ish..

All signed for at 2pm on Friday afternoon

Had a guy knock us up at 9am Sat as he'd already run the cable up the lane, and was wanting to get in and hook us up!

By 11 he'd finished and left us with the TV running 130+ channels, and promised to be back 1st thing Monday with the router the Mrs choose to get the bband side running.....

They don't hang about over here!!!

That was about the size I expected. When I met up with chaseracer I parked behind his car and he said to reverse in instead. I jokingly asked 'why how big is it?' And then he opened the boot, I was gobsmacked. I thought it was likely to be a B50 from the less than perfect pic but it's a B150. I paid B15 money for it. I still can't stop grinning. My neighbour went out for a bit this afternoon so I cranked it up full, it really is a monster in a medium sized room and will be fine for a small-medium pub type venue.

I sold one of those about 4 months ago! It was impossible to get a good idea of the 'right' price (I let mine go for £80 I think) but you're right, they are BEASTS.

Flippin heavy too.

I paid a fair bit less than that and whoever got yours had a bargain too. They seem to go for £120 ish if they are in the sticks and around £150-180 if they are in a central area or London. Not easy things to post! But you are right, prices are all over the shop, one guy is after £400 for one so will have it a while I think.

Did you ever run yours with a separate cab? I am trying to find out if I can daisy chain it to a 24" Peavey cab we have at work.

Hell's teeth. I think that's been photoshopped - at least I hope so, it used to look like this:

and belonged to an occasional poster on here whose username I've forgotten.

It got mildly crashed and last I heard he had painted some of the chrome black and yellow, quite fetchingly.

Maybe he got rather, er, carried away?

Ah, that's the fella. Very good news, thanks. I'm down off the ledge now.

Edit: God, of course, just realised it's Rovamota of epic proto-wedge restoration fame. I hadn't joined the dots. I'll shut up now.

Think I found an Autoshiter on the Radio 2 Facebook page. Comment about a feature on Simon Cowell:

"I'd rather insert a pineapple into my rectum than watch any drivel this helmet provides"

Sounds like something that would turn up on here. The pineapple bit really piqued my suspicions, and I don't think I have ever heard the insult "helmet" anywhere but here.

Watching 'Children of Men', (sort of 1984 but set now, and with something to do with babies), and after having to dump their Fiat Multipla they got this instead:

Whilst it did make me grin, WHY? Why go to the trouble of hacking a couple extra doors into a car that's only in a couple of scenes? It has no bearing on the plot, it's just a car. Strange.

Ah yes, Clive Owen.  The man that should have been James Bond.

Just been scraping ice of car for daughter , as she's late leaving for a 165 mile drive to York, for a work conference.

Why the grin?

She's taking the 520, she text me yesterday ' Can I take the BMW? My boss has got a Mini'

My job as a parent is done, she'd rather take an e34 that's older than she is than the Fiat 500 or go in her managers Bini.

This morning I hit a major milestone in Project Adonis - I'm exactly a stone lighter than when I started 6 weeks ago

Just another 7lb to go.

She could be in for an entertaining day. Isn't snow a possibility in Yorkshire today?

Apparently I can get insurance for a 190hp Abarth 695 for less than it would cost for a povvo one. Worst idea ever? No back seats to put the pizzas on mind you, but a very spacious boot.

Lack of a stereo isn't handy also.

But fast, so very fast.

Not very autoshite I know, but I've been shopping for a modern daily so I can focus on Pugsley more without a daily to worry about disintegrating.

Thats cheap!

It's very cheap indeed! Especially considering a base model would be £8-900 for me to insure.

In fairness, the next cheapest quote was about £4000.

Given the cheap insurance quote, the Abarth isn't actually an entirely unreasonable option, but from a practicality point of view I think it's a monumentally stupid idea. None of the dealers have any to test drive either it seems.

Aye, but what's the monthly payment on one of those?

Not gonna lie, it would be fun though. If you did get one, you need to take it to Crail!

Surprisingly a mere £299 according to the website. Part of me is telling me that it's a bloody stupid idea, but stupid ideas are often tremendous fun.

The slightly less ott one is a more sensible option, still fast and doesn't have the daft faux retro seats, and is of course a fair bit cheaper. A trip to look at my options is in order fairly soon I think.

Are those 695's really 35 grand list? Holey shit that's a lot for a Fiat 500 even a really nice one.

I was fully clenched, got it in my mind that my insurance would lapse this month and I was due the annual tunnel boring machine up the arse.

But no! It seems I'm legal until May! Christmas is back on!

Ha! You've just reminded me that I've FINALLY managed to escape my 22nd December insurance renewal date. That's been ruining Christmases for a few years now. No more!

In other news, I've arranged test drives of the MG3 and MG GS.

Give or take a few obvious shortcomings, you'll enjoy them. I did.

Hmm. I could have sworn I published an MG3 review a few years back, but apparently not. Never mind. It was like an elderly Suzuki Swift. Pleasingly so.

A touch over 33k. A lot of money for what is basically a toy.

At the end of the day it's going to be ferrying pizza about in order to pay for itself, which is an interesting concept.

When I say "it" I don't mean a 695, I think that would be genuine insanity. A 595 maybe, provided I don't twat it up a wall on that stupid narrow street like I did with the polo...
