They are still covered in slime, how sweet.Just driving back from Tescos and i past a C reg Toyota Carina and shout out to the wife, 'Look crap car, where my camera?' Only for her to start pissing herself at me, Women don't understand...

I reckon she found it funny because she knows full well that the first generation "Carina II" is a very handsome and desirable motor. She just thinks you know nowt about cars now.

 Yes that would be it!, I think she was secretly eyeing it up!, And yes your quite right, it was the Carina II model with the high rear number plate.

Driving a BMW 330Ci, jumping back into my 2CV and enjoying that far more! The 2CV went off for some work, so I've barely driven it lately but this week has reminded me just why I love them. No car is so chuckable. Fact. The Mini can't compare on Fenland roads because the 2CV manages comfort too. Revving the little flat-twin until it's out of puff, snicking the next gear then flooring it again, hurling it into bends, feeling the tarmac, slowing (a bit) for a sharp bend and then repeating the experience before overtaking a Honda Civic. Yup, that makes me smile I don't mind admitting!

She's been serenading my ears with her lovely Welsh tone (and cheeky giggle) in the afternoon on 6Music for a few weeks now but I think she's off on tour so I guess someone else will be doing that show next week. Really has been a pleasure to listen to. It seems to me that any presenter who is actually a successful musician really brings something extra in the form of enthusiasm to hosting such a show.

Oh the fun you'll have in a few weeks. You'll be walking around with your fingers and toes hidden at all times

Yeeeeeaaaaaauuuck! That grating Welsh bint who made a couple of gratingly crap records 10 years ago? It's true that turds float to the top - that one should have been flushed years ago.

Mind you, compared to Cheryl fucking Cole she's an angel.

/\Pretty much what he said.I cannot stand the grating voiced bint. In fact, I think I'd rather knock seven inch rusty nails into my ears than to have them assualted by the God awful shite she bashes out.

This suddenly become the disproportionately vitriolic thread or something?

Yeah, that's a good call as the last Imp I drove (rally prepared!) made me grin like an idiot for hours...

Malcolm. Not a random person but an Australian film from the mid 80's with an amazing soundtrack by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra (who also make me smile) and both Honda Z and Mk1 Transit action, along with associated period Aussie and J-tin. Find a copy and watch it!Plus my Imp is almost ready to see the road again very soon and (hopefully) provide wedding transport for me in 3 weeks time.

Hey! Re Cerys. I'm not exactly the hugest ever fan of her music. Just said I enjoyed listening to her host a radio show.

Car is now working again! Turned out to be a load of shit that had congregated in the bottom of the fuel filter housing, thus blocking the fuel feeds. Now all it has to do is last for exactly 28 more days, then hopefully sold for a decent amount

Parked in the usual spot I do in Liverpool today, which is next to a 'Car Body Refinishers'. I was pleased to see a five door, H reg Fiesta in faded red, having it's arches and everywhere else redone!! It was next to Lexus' and BMW's and other insurance repairs!

Here is something that makes me grin, but it requires some backstory. It was the mid 1990s. The Conservative Party were still in power. Noel's House Party was still in decline. Some other stuff happened. Though most importantly, the very handsome "GE" generation Mazda 626 was in the midst of its production run. But let's forget about its slick styling for just a moment, with a 5-door hatchback which manages to be just as well-judged as its 4-door saloon equivalent.Around this time, the front cover of a computer game magazine had a free gift included - a packet of Monster Munch. But these were no ordinary Monster Munch. These were an exciting new flavour - "Flamin' Hot" Monster Munch. The delicious spicy taste became an instant smash hit, beloved by children and adults alike. The conclusion is that I really like Flamin' Hot Monster Munch, they are great.

Flamin hot are good , but pickled onion ones are BETTER , glad they are back to their hugeness size again

+1 for pickled onion monster munch, though they do make your fingers reek.and living in a house with three other record collectors who never complain when i play free-jazz at full volume at all hours of the day, though those days are sadly over :(

Frankie Boyle has got a whole page (page 11) in the Sun today. Well up to his normal standard and it looks as if he's replaced Jeremy Clarkson :D
