What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

I did a shite rally, in a car covered in 'wacky' stripes. Unlike most folks though, I cared a lot about the car and ran it as my daily for 18 months afterwards. I also made a point of not offending anyone in the countries we visited, though the Spanish border officers with machine guns were a bit alarming.

In fact, me and my mate did our best to escape everyone else on the tour during the driving sections. I was very keen to avoid the stereotype.

His biggest crime was not making his car look like a tank, it was posting a message on that website and not expecting to be flamed by the Clarkson-wannabe massive.

I think I'll try him in a different hat each month.

Want to give a shout out to my favourite paint, Tetrosyl Brush On Paint.

Got it free from a car shop and its turned our to be the best paint ever. Never skins over in the tin, levels really well, doesn't chip or peel, doesn't care if its being put on rusty or clean metal. Hope I can find some more since I just finished that free tin!

(I figured I'd post this here since I'm unlikely to ever win an Oscar and that was going to be my acceptance speech. )

100% flipping brilliant that. I love how he decides not to mention any of that shiz in his initial request for ‘help’. Who says the Germans don’t have a sense of humour? I’m laughing my knackers off thanks to them. If I was a german copper I’d defo drag his feckless ass off the road just for the lulz.

Ah, the old routine.

1. Moron posts something stupid he's done on a forum expecting support from other members.

2. Other members critisize / take the piss.

3. Moron tries to backtrack and blame others with statements like 'I never said that xyz...' and 'it's not my fault that xyz'.

4. Other members take the piss even more.

5. Moron sulks off telling people to 'get a life'.

I've lost count of how many times I've seen this sort of thing, still makes me laugh though.

I was amused by the neccessity of clarifying

What's missing from that thread is bad spelling from the OP, who when challenged claims to be dyslexic. Seriously though, how well did he think starting a thread with nothing more than "my car got crushed it's not fair" would go?

I saw that 'tank' the other week in Bingley town centre. It was driving through with a bunch of young lads looking smug. TBH it did make me grin but judging by the tone of the kid on the thread he seems to be a total cock.

How can he be upset about them mentioning the war, he was driving a car that was meant to look like a tank through friggin' Germany.

The Germans usually say 'Hold your nerve' to us Brits, a reference to Dunkirk I think.  Odd how both us and them both see it as a victory with the Dunkirk spirit and all that. However, its true they were whooping us at the time. But like a WWE wrestling fight or a review of a car by Jeremy Clarkson the tables were soon turned.

I see Movano and Vivavo but my head says Eranu and Uvavu.  I blame Reeves and Mortimer and a misspent youth.

Thing is, I was expecting the cow-in-roof thing to get less funny over time and so far it hasn't.

I'm still ginning over selling the rebel estate for an actual profit... A full £300 more than my break even point! bit of a shame I had to miss shitefest in order to sell it but very glad that its gone to a new home.

Buying a set of seat backs for the Amazon in the right colour for £2.70. Okay, so I have to arrange a courier but still, what the heck. Let's hope the seller co-operates eh.

Picked up a load of those 1:43 Commieshite models from the pound shop today.  Most of them are actually pretty well detailed, although the build quality seems to be fairly faithful to the originals - the white UAZ van broke a rear leaf spring as I was getting it out of the box, and two of the models have already lost wing mirrors.

There were two models I didn't manage to get - an early Moskvitch (the one which looks like a pre-war Opel), of which my mate who I was with bagged the last one before I spotted it, and a blue GAZelle van, of which the only example they had had lost a front wheel - I had a facelift GAZelle ambulance already so I wasn't too bothered.  I might go back at some point and see if I can pick up the ones I missed.

Here's a family photo:

You know how I've mentioned our neighbour that had an orange Polonez he replaced with a vermillion Princess about a million times?  Well I've been told tonight that before the orange Polonez he had a black one which replaced a Cortina (I know not which mark) that blew up in spectacular fashion.  I have no memory of this, but it does make me wonder what happened to Eddie and if he's now trundling around in something truly chodtacular.

I've tried numerous branches of Poundland, both in civilisation and the provinces, without seeing a single one.
