Bravo is getting picked up by mechanic tomorrow. I stuck a battery on charge when I got back. I probably won’t be home when it gets picked up, and it’s a bit unfair asking missus or 60y/o mechanics to carry it down the stairs from 5th floor. Put it back in, and thought - oh fuck it, might as well see if it’s fully charged and the car starts with no errors on dash. Reporting resounding success!

The shows he did in the 'A .... is born' format were fantastic.

How it progressed from a car to a helicopter was a real lesson in "anyone can do this stuff, you just have to learn it", and I use it as an example all the time when people tell me they're no good at fixing things.

If a dude can learn how to build a helicopter you can fix your car. A bit like those Royal Navy ads about fixing a skateboard.

Took a dislike to Gary Oldman in "Leon, The Professional" and haven't a clue what he might look like.

I needed to move my white 405 this evening as it was blocking my trailer in.  Its not started for 6 months so I carried a freshly charged battery over and lifted the bonnet to find a battery already in the tray, "well that'll be fucked but might as well try"  connected the leads up and was surprised to have ignition lights and even more suprised when it started on the 3rd turn of the key.  A bit of shunting around unseized a recalcitrant rear brake and it happily towed the trailer round the yard.

Mrs W got awarded employee of the month today. She works in accounts and wasn’t happy with an invoice for facility services. Turned out a new start manager had signed a contract for £70k a month, for 5 years with a national supplier, without approval, when they were only paying £2k a month to a local firm before. 
Her reward? £50, a certificate and an invite to the “stars” awards night next February. She is happy that she’s spotted it, protected her colleague’s jobs but the new start manager has been dismissed, which she feels guilty about. Well done her though, she could have  just paid it, as it had been approved, but she knew it wasn’t right.

One of my hats I wear is that of a ‘Forensic Accountant’ and the due diligence of people such as your wife helps to prevent things such as fraud…… not even some AI algorithms would spot that!
