It was with great interest I learnt the spirits are back at work .   One building had to be blessed a few years back , but Halloween brings it all back out  .

I will have a word with them ...

The only spirits here are Johnnie Walker ones - or were, the bottle is empty now :(

Split between Grumpy and Grinny.

My shaver packed up about a year ago.  I had a Philishave one in reserve but it was a bit crap.  Bought a Chinese one from AldiLidl.  Not bad at first, rubbish now.

Bought some shaving gel yesterday and had a wet shave today - disposable cheapshit razors that have been here for years, god knows why as I haven't had a wet shave since early seventies.

I was hesitant but it worked well and was faster than anticipated, and not as painful either :)

The anointment of shaving gel on my clothes and floor, the blood on the towels and bath mat were only to be expected.  A negative bonus.

May even get shaved again.  Not too soon hopefully.

Wet Mach 3, M9. Erasmic foam if you can get it, any other if not.

I remember Erasmic from the sixties.  I had a job finding anything and had to ask.  No idea what it is except blue.

Whatsa Wet Mach?

Gillette Mach3 razor, used wet.

May just give that a try.  Lots of disposable ones to wear out first though.

There is a shaving thread somewhere on your favourite beige forum.

It's one of the many overpriced multiblade shaving jobbies. See also the Gillette Venus.

Shaving with a DE blade is a far more satisfying experience. It's the way of the past.

One of the cars I would love to have, but can't afford. Which engine does it have?

Just been in Lidl for work pack up supplies and a couple of beers.

The lass okayed the beers at the till, I paid and walked out.

It was only half way home did I think "that seemed cheap"

Checked the receipt and yup, free beer 😀

Has anyone else noticed how many people seem unable to judge the width of their vehicle , they'll come at you in the centre of a road when there's  bags of room to get two cars through

I have no words

There's got to be something wrong with that restriction, shirley?

That some cars and vans get through would suggest it’s user error.

We’ve always said that my mum has no spatial awareness. She doesn’t drive though.

I know quite a few like that. I have a family member who used to insist that, an admittedly narrow, road was too small for her car, which was why it was scratched on both sides. My sister could drive a bus down the same road without touching the hedges.

Yea, I could get a bus through that. Oh, hang on.

A Fire appliance might be forced to use the bus lane.

Found it this morning thanks.

I will likely return to electric once I get over my aversion to spending money and manage to wade through the complexities of it all.

Yeah, but it's a bit bristlely.

Statistics suggest that insurers should be questioning the council on how visible the bollards are.

That looks very tight for a normal road. I'm having difficulty with judging the width of my new car* and on a number of occasions due to paranoia about scrapping the alloys have ended up parking about a foot from the curb.

* turns out an Astra J (mk6) GTC is wider than an omega.

Made me smile, anyway.
