Steady on now! There's nowt wrong with it. It's something I've been after for a while at a price I could just manage and it gets me back on 3 wheels. ....

Wait, let me guess. You've got yourself a Reliant.

You really could not be more wrong. I guarantee your jaw will drop at its awesomeness when you see it. You won’t see another like it in a long while that’s for sure.

Bub loves it which is the only real important bit to remember about all of this, about time he had some bloody fun in his life.

It's a matt black, Reliant rat trike.

Is there a thread for bub's trike?

It's not to everyone's tastes but yes I'd be happy to do a thread. I posted here as it has made me grin which is something I've not done in a long time and I really like it.

It's actually more yes than no. Engine, box, chassis, brakes, axle, front and rear suspension all reliant. Lights seating and handlebars not reliant and no body in it.

^^ Can we make half-arsed comments then? :)

^^or it could be that cars are built better than they were years ago so last longer and aren't needing major weldedness at about 5 years.

Beko, is that your special test carpet?

Afraid not. It was brand new 2 years ago it's had kids and me since then. Its coming up this year, back to the laminate underneath. It was only down so Charlie didn't brain himself as he learnt to walk

So for a while I’ve been wanting more garage space. I have access to two rented garages and a 20ft shipping container at work but these are all just basically storage.

The parents have quite a big plot for their house and as they spend an increasing amount of time abroad as they start to wind down to retirement can’t really be bothered with all the maintenance needed. Last year, my dad and I hatched a plan for the side of the house that involved extending the drive and building a double garage to the side.

A good mate of mine is a landscape gardener and could only do the work in the off season when he was quiet. Ground works were finished in March and then on Thursday the garage got put up. It’s sectional so won’t be rthe dryest of places but it’s huge, 22ft 3 by 16ft 3.

I’ve spent the last few days putting up the lighting, loads of LED batterns that give a good spread of light, put loads of sockets in around the sides, installed a PVC door to the side and laid a rubber floor matting. A mate is coming to link the distribution board to the main board and test everything before it goes live.

Going to rearrange the fleet so that I can work on the BMW 2000 and have easy access to Delta so that will get used much more this summer. Happy days!post-10228-0-83665400-1523731091_thumb.jpeg

The look on Mrs BMH's face after I unpacked the few clothes she needs for a couple of nights away in the van ( I don't know what the weather will be like) and I commented " Would it be easier in future if I fitted a set of wheels and a towbar to your wardrobe?".

The photo actually flatters it considerably - it really was as rough as a badger's arse.  It was like I'd fallen asleep and woken up in 1989.

EFA.

Despite its evident crustiness, it looks remarkably complete on this side. Even the original wheelcovers are there.

A woman is sitting at her deceased husband’s funeral. A man leans in to her and asks, “Do you mind if I say a word?”.

“No, go right ahead”, the woman replies.

The man stands, clears his throat, says “Plethora”, and sits back down.

“Thanks”, the woman says, “that means a lot”
