This is why producers opted to go with 'The Italian Job' rather than 'The Spanish Job'.

As SF definitely don't say in the North (or indeed anywhere):

Went to tax it online and was offered the choice of starting today or tomorrow so went with tomorrow being as I don't need to go back out.  Tester was really impressed with it but that might be influenced by the fact that he tested my Astra a couple of weeks ago.

A bargain at only £50 on gummers

The tyres are Avon ZV3 with loads of tread on them but are comically shit, I've spent more time sideways than not this afternoon :)

If you had started the tax today then you would have lost a month instantly

I drove it to the MOT centre and back.

Via the motorfactors, supermarket and the house of a Freecycler but I was on the way to/from the test centre.

I still don't understand this. The Lexus seems about as keen to break grip as a monkey with vertigo. I gave it a bootful on a wet roundabout and it just accelerated. Quite rapidly. Will see how I get on at the Autosolo in a couple of weeks...

Picked up a 4 branch manifold from a local rally suppliers earlier, I ordered it yesterday it was with them today and I saved £50 and postage costs buying it through them rather than going to the exhaust manufacturer directly.

Yeah I’m sure you get a pass on MoT day but I’m just thinking of people buying cars on the 31st and getting fined like Bollox did

Has Mr Bolloxs vs The Man got to the high court of European Justice yet? We haven't had an update for a while?

I saw them at the Half Moon pub in Herne Hill before they were famous!  I know they are not exactly flavour of the Month, but the Josh Tree and Unforgettable Fire are great albums, have a great time!

Yonks ago, someone on here was talking about his son, who had a Smart Car at the time, who suggested the food of the gods was co-op cheese and jalapeno bread, toasted, with mexicana cheddar melted on top.

Whoever it was, your son is bloody right on the money with that idea! It really is amazing.

My personal take on it is a dish of reggae reggae sauce on the side for dipping the bread into.

I taxed Mrs' new car yesterday , that's £22 per day! Had no choice needed it urgently and dealer wouldn't let me take it until he'd seen confirmation it was taxed. Not that I bullshitted and said I'd done it, but then he checked and I was all" oh, it couldn't have gone through, must be a dodgy 4G signal" no not at al.

What's it got to do with him whether the car is legal or not?  If you chose to drive a vehicle on the road untaxed, it's your affair and 2/10ths of bugger all business of anyone else.

He can suggest it might be a wise plan, but to insist?  Get Bent.

I'm off work today and woke up to see loads of emails on my phone about the phone system at work going down. Isn't it a shame that I've got a work around setup to solve exactly that and it'd take five mins to do. However as they treat me so well* I'm not bothering contacting them to let them know...

Great thing is I know I emailed the details out to everyone in case it happens when I'm off, but obviously no-one has recalled that. So on tues I can just say, well why didn't you follow this simple guide I emailed out yonks ago after last time this happened?

*three years now of trying to get regraded so I get paid for the work I do....hence off today for a job interview.

I do this all the time, it's a wonderful feeling to pluck out a guide I wrote 6 years ago and watch their faces drop!

1.     Chortling....... anyone who knows those in the loop haven't bothered reading the email will understand entirely.

2.     Best of luck with the interview - and if you get it - let them find the email them-fucking-selves!

That sounds familiar.

Last time I was off for a few days, I arrived back to great consternation about a malfunctioning photocopier that had caused them enormous problems... all I could do was point wordlessly at the notice fixed to the wall directly above the copier, advising how to fix this exact problem... dated and signed by me in October 2015.

I just leave them to it now.

Our PM stated she would be creating a "lonliness minister" is response to the worsening crisis of mental health and the NHS.

It has her name all over it.

It doesn't matter who is in charge, the utterly retarded & incompetent management within the NHS means it'll always swallow all the funds you give it with no improvement in the service provided.

And back to grins.

Interview seemed to go well, I should find out today or tomorrow.

More importantly at the moment it means I'm now shortly going to start packing for a weekend with my new lass, I'll be on Bute in the morning :)
