Cavcraft's descriptions of motoring artwork, I can't help reading them with Brian Sewell's voice in my head. I feel that Cavcraft should become an art critic.

I always thought it was more Bob Hoskins.

Also, despite knowing who he is in real life, Bornidentity IS Tony Mason in my head.

Am heading up today, looking forward to it!

The unique* Knockhill climate will hopefully shift the hangover too...

It'll probably be snowing

I finally had to bite the bullet and resort to putting the old daily hack on gumtree. After reading on here about the numties on there, the first message is.lol. Wide u swopz for a radio control plane and a saw of some sort. If they had offered a pineapple I might have considered it.lol. Good old bumtree.

Scran was superb, and Xantia looked work worn-nice contrast

Those plates seem to be diplomatic vehicle ones, was just looking on wiki as it piqued my interest.

Don't the tattie mashers get 'pink'?

Seriously, how could you not grin at seeing this combination?!

I was out for a bike ride, and had to stop for the photo despite the poor light.

On a couple of occasions now I've been talking to one of the (literal!) big voices in the Manchester Critical Mass cycling community - well I've just clocked he's one of my dad's old colleagues.

Small bloody world I live in, reminds me of how I found out Junkman bought a car off my second cousin several years ago.

Local faceache page has a story about a van hitting the railway bridge.

Happens every couple of months and every time the comments are unbelievable.

Blind idiots, take their licence away, what if that had been a child 9ft in the air etc etc etc

Today's best so far: "So meny idiots can't read"

After several years of poverty or poor timing blighting my chances to see one of my favourite bands live, tonight I bagged a pair of tickets to see VNV Nation live in Holland in November. Chuffed would be an understatement.

I'm taking brother_stanky along as he likes them too and as a birthday present for him. Can't wait. Its a 3 hour show too, playing early stuff right through to the newest album so should be a good one.

Have a fair bit of time off in November, checked some air fares for a bit of a laugh and now I'm going to Rome. Again. Flights cost less than my trip to Norwich....

Monks in France make Cointreau and Benedictine with similar effects. My dad's always said it was to take their minds off vows of chastity.

Accepted an offer on our flat in Edinburgh.

Seems my mad dash to fill the house with furniture paid off. First person to see it has bought it.

What does Buckies actually taste like?

Like wine, but worse. Apparently Liverpudlians are keen on it.

Buckfast to me tastes like that red medicine that you got when you were a kid, instead of penicillin.

In other news, turns out Buckfast is cheaper than a prescription for that red medicine you got as a kid.

A friend of mine lives in buckfastleigh and on visiting her and going to the abbey I can't quite work out the link between drunk Scotsmen and Devon monks?

Posted

Monks brew some mad potions. Scotsmen like ti drink them?

Posted

Buckfast ≈ horrible medicine or cough syrup.

I think it's probably like herbal tea which is rank until you drink enough to get used to it?

Drank Buckie as a student. Excellent warm up for a night out.

Then we discovered Synatogen, which is like Bucky but with several red bull cans worth of caffeine added. Choo-choo!
