Sold 1998 Mercedes c180 elegance SOLD

Decided to make some space, so decided to move this on. 1998 merc c180 elecance automatic, silver with grey cloth. MOT to July, generally tidy and presentable. As part of a rigourous shakedown for the new keeper I've serviced it and just driven this to Germany, hasn't missed a beat. Sat at 100 with the cruise on no problem etc.

 

New all season tyres. Uses no oil. Over a month the coolant level drops slightly. Definitely no sign of HGF and despite sitting on the m25 for over an hour without moving no running hot or anything like that. Rustwise it's pretty good for one of these- a bit on 3 or the arches and a couple of th door edges, just surface stuff. It's got a couple of small dents and scratches, a crack in the windscreen and occasionally the heater blower makes an odd noise but it works just fine. The bonnet paint is poor but looks ok from a few paces - I think it was taken off to be repainted as it fits ok but it wouldn't have been allowed out of sindelfingen like it.

 

Will do someone a great turn as it's totally dependable (i.e. I drove it to Germany without a second thought) but it's not worth an awful lot really.

My insurance was cheap and re the tin worm is in the ad- for one of these it's not bad at all, surface grot on a couple of door edges and minor bubbles on 3 arches. Front spring perches all good.

I had it on a modern but footman James for one would put in on a classic policy as it's a Mercedes and 15yo is their start point

Rang them first,,,,, Did the whole quote to be told at the end they could not provide cover, rules and guidance have changed and they could not advise why they could not provide cover???
