Today I had a transmission flush , filter and refill . Sealed for life, bollocks it is .

My 198,000 mile Merc feels like it's got a new box, I'd noticed some lumpy low speed down changes, which is why I had it done. But I'd obviously just got used to a slight roughness across all 7 speeds which has now been magicked away.

Best £180 I've ever spent, can't recommend it enough.

All four brakes on the Renault now operate with the foot pedal and the rear ones operate with the handbrake too.  Happy days!

In other news picked up my trailer tent this evening and it's great !!!. The little Peugeot pulls it ok as well.

Another camper at shitefest panhard? Great looking little trailer too

Those crazy Danish! If you need spares at shitefest the importer is only in Thame (or he used to be).

So I had to manually move 3 metric tonne's of gravel by hand up the drive.

That must have taken a fair few trips.

Rover sold now, within 1 day of going on sale.

I should be happy that I managed to sell it so quickly and so close to the asking price, but I don't feel that overjoyed, I really liked that car a lot. Oh well.

The buyer seemed like a genuinely nice guy and it should be a decent runaround, so I don't have any worries about that. Any shitters in Ipswich who may see it around give me a shout (or get a picture if you are quick enough), it would be nice to see it still going strong. In a slightly odd coincidence, the buyer works on the same road as the original dealer, so it still hasn't gone far from it's source in all this time.

Anyway, apologies for the long post and poor quality of the picture, it was getting dark and I cocked up on the focus of the camera as it was driving away.

I'm absolutely not looking to buy another car.

I'm totally asking for a friend.

Anyway. When you see a fail sheet like this... what's happened ? Half a job to scrape it through an MOT?? It's moved from fail to advisory.

Most likely as you describe however if the failure sheet is not present I'd also wonder if it's gone to a more friendly tester

What were the advisories on the fail ? Prescribed areas can be a 12" circle so may have several rusty areas in it . One was repaired , one wasn't

I scrolled down and thought this was cavcrafts latest adventure !!!

I fervently hope that Cavcraft didn't pay £600 for his example.

Possibly more relevant to the eBay thread, but this popped up about 7-8 miles from me - If it's complete, is it worth the £500 he's asking?

That's the understatement of the year; it looks like a massive, Alfa Romeo shaped mirror. Nice job.

I'd rock one of those, what are they like to drive?

Better than I expected, as long as you don't try to take speed bumps too quick.

I might actually do a thread for it.
