LOL the cobwebs are great. It sat in a garage for 5 years after a body off rebuild. The chasis, engine and transmission are all like new.............then they lost interest and the body is cack. Not a straight panel.

TR6...........in nice order underneath with loads of new bits that has been stood a while?

Lets have more pics of the whole thing

I love to see suspension bits painted like that........looks like each part was cleaned/repaired as required before being assembled with cleaned or new bolts. Proper job

Loads better than the whole lot being splashed over with chassis black or nasty underseal

SWMBO is in China for two weeks. "Get me another car..............I'm sick of that Ondah"......OK. Job done.

It's good they kept it in a giant cardboard box.

If I had to pick a triumph it'd be a tr6.

The cardboard is for when the truck needs work...........leaks more oil than the Amoco Cadiz

That looks the Dogs Danglies,

Stag with BL badges. Well you learn something new everyday.

James Mays favourite classic convertible.

(Don't quote me on that).

Just took the Princess for the second MOT under ownership.

All it needs are two brake pipes and a CV gaiter plus a rebound strap under advisory.

Very pleased.

Went and collected this thing last night in the C4 for the workshop. A 'Sixties Grundig Mondello 6GB radiogram. The legs were on the passenger seat [fnarr]. It has a DIN out for a tape and or phono deck, so the appropriate jack will allow me to run a phone or CD player through it. The (built in) turntable needs a new belt, and other than a frosted screen, the whole unit runs brilliantly (and loud). I've seen these go in raging hipster shops for £500+ so it was a bit of steal at £20, even if it meant a trip to Guildford to pick it up, very close to the McLaren works.

It's a long time since I've driven the C4 any kind of distance (or any long run at night since my accident, for that matter). Compared to the MGF and MX-3 it feels like a truck on stilts (with incredibly numb steering).

I forgot how miserly it was on fuel, and how comparatively decent the stereo was. It's still rather useful.

Please stop posting this picture, it looks too much like some sort of device for giving Lord Sterling pleasure when he's away from the 1987 Rover all models brochure.

Mrs Imp just got offered £5,200 for her Mazda 2 that was written off last week. It was a 2010 car with 50k on the clock and in very good condition (all the scratches and dings were repaired last year) although the interior was a bit grim with a couple of holes in the carpet and some broken switches plus it was pretty grubby like girls cars often get.

Looking online that pretty much seems to be a good valuation. Similar cars within 50 miles of here are up for sale online for between £4,500 and £5,500. I was exepcting to get offered £4k and have to fight our way up to a fair settlement but this seems spot on to me.

Drove the Xantia on some errands after all that carpet refitting faff yesterday.  It's a nice thing, it's a very nice place to be, I'm making a mistake keeping it up for sa-ARRGH MY FUCKING BACK.

Every time, every freaking time I start to give it the benefit of the doubt those seats put paid.  If these seats from Moog are comfortable then it's a keeper, that's for definite now because the only problem with the car is the seats.  In fact the only problem is one seat, the one the driver sits in.

Going to look at a possible swap with one of my dream germanic performance wanker mobiles for the CL tonight.

See if you can argue it up further!

That sounds OK. I heard of someone else getting a decent first offer recently.

I dread to think what would happen if the 75 was written off.......I'd probably owe them money for the postage of sending the written formal offer.

I'm very excited about tomorrow's capers. Especially as just £23 is getting me all the way to Bootle. I've only visited Liverpool once. In the dark. Because I was lost trying to find Blackpool. I think that must have been in 1997. We were in a Dyane that used more oil than fuel. Finished work, picked up friends, drove to Blackpool, ate some food, drove back to Birmingham. Work next day. Lunacy.

Took delivery of The Volvo's new fuel filler flap hinge today. It's the first ever car body part I've had to fit with a hammer and drift :D
