at the moment i'm listening to the game while drawing a massive picture of a cock with the regulation british three lines of piss.

Angyl, again I can only add to what has been said. Hoping against all odds that your mum pulls through.

Nothing I can add but to say I'm terribly sorry for your situation VA. Thoughts are with you.

One of the more fun things about Froggy 'lectrics is the randomiser, otherwise known as the milometer.

You have my sympathy Vulgalour. I have been through a tough time with my mum recently. You will probably feel like there is a black cloud consuming you right now. Take it easy mate!

Posted

I'm sorry, I've only just caught up with this after a bit of camping and I can't really add anything constructive to whats already been said.

I'm not really that far away though Angyl, so feel free to shout.

Angyl hope you are hanging in mate. I lost my mum 19 years ago and still think she will walk through door. I was 8 years old. Crap as i can't remember her much at all. All the best bud to you and your family

Vulgalour, my thoughts and best wishes are with you and yours.

Angyl, I saw your Twitter update yesterday morning and didn't know what to say. I am crap in these situations, but you have my condolences. I can't possibly say any more, any better than what has already been said.

Hang in there, and we'll work out some Princess fixorating time once you're through the other side of this and have the head space to concentrate on any other projects.

Vulg,

My mother in law suffered a massive brain trauma - my wife and some helpers had to break her front door down to get to her.

The diagnosis was not good - we were told to expect the worse.

That was six years ago - she made a full recovery after surgery.

Miracles do happen.

I went and spoke to her today and gave her Old Ted which is her very first teddy that she's kept all these years.  I'm at the point now where my brother and Aunt are picking up the practical stuff and I'm beginning to collapse now that I'm at the very end of my personal resources.  Please, for my sake, don't get my hopes up by saying you know someone that survived or that an operation is possible, in this instance there is no operation that can fix the problem and I don't want to hope for a miracle because it will destroy me if one doesn't then happen.

I told my wife ( hope you dont mind ) who was a nurse and whilst not exactly a specialist in this field did say the prognosis was very poor and palliative care was all thats left by the sounds of it .

Im truly sorry for all thats happened and is happening and nothing i can say or do will make it any easier.

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time .

Sadly I and many others on here I'm sure know what you're going through. I lost my Mum 5 years ago and it still hurts. Your family and friends will help you through but an internet forum with strangers can be strangely cathartic. We are thinking of you.

Xsara has gone to make bean cans today. Feel a little bit sad as gf loved it.

Although she almost crashed her Saab into it last night as she was waving it goodbye.

That would have been very very funny and not quickly forgotten

Interestingly she has taken to the Saab quickly and is driving it everywhere with a big smile.

No a different one, cost £250 the set,but they are 18" with almost new tires.

Yes on the Merc wheels, no on the Insignia.

Brakes on the Celica are now fixed, best not to dwell the price and just chalk it down to experience. Also established the air con doesn't work, but IO have heard something about Kwik Fit doing a regass but not charigng if it doesn't work?

Kwik fit are asking about £50 for an air-con service, local tyre place is £54. I'm taking the merc to the main dealer next weekend though for the air-con to be done as I trust them more; £75 all in - last time I let kwitfik near a car they broke my 2CV's silencer. I'd only been a car owner a week too!

I took the Sirion to Kwik Fit as the air con was a bit intermittent. They de-gassed it as they reckon it was over-pressurised. It worked for a bit and now doesn't work at all. Brilliant.

Posted

Has anyone tried the DIY kits? The air con in the Fabia is a bit weak, but not willing to spend £50 for a re-gas.

The wheels on the Insignia will be a pain in the ass to clean
