I walked ten km in berks yesterday. Countless drinks cartons on the side of the road, seven nitrous oxide canisters, two abandoned transit vans with police tape, etc. and most was along the jubilee river area. Plus one broken footbridge.

Yes, I had a bumble bee yesterday morning, as I was having a teams meeting. Had to usher it back outside.

I do wonder how many bees this kills off. They think it's warm enough to wake up and start a hive somewhere bumble around in the nice clement weather then get frozen when we get a spell of normal weather for the season.

I wonder that about the health of trees and plants too, they come out of their dormant period early because the weather improves, but then we get periods of cold weather again which I can't imagine they enjoy.

It can be pretty bad for honey bees - they come out thinking spring has sprung, use loads of energy looking for flowers then have to come home empty handed.  Beekeepers will often add sugar to feeders in the tops of hives on warm days like this so they can recover after a fruitless day out.

Up and outside by 715am to get the galaxy stripped down in readiness for another injector loom, hopefully 1 that actually fits.

V5 landed for the S class so it'll be available for sale once I've got some plates made up.

WagonR- no progress. Dad is trying pointless things like different code readers, disconnecting the battery and the IAT sensor (?) to try and fix it to no avail.

Do you have any better ideas on how to sort the WagonR then?

Or are you even researching ideas for it?

I've not had time, but I'm going to start doing some Japanese Googling to find out.

Probably 2005?
The chit chat here made me wonder - it's only £6.39 delivered - so why not?
It's hidden underneath two plastic trays and eight torx screws that a triple jointed midget could access easily - I can see why a standard service would just ignore replacing it.

If that's a beetle then when I changed the one in my cabriolet I may have lost one or two* torx bits in the front of the dash....

Funny you should say that.... :-)

All screws are to hand but, currently, sat on the floor mats as it got dark and I bet a pound to a pinch of the proverbial that I'd drop a couple trying to reinstall by torchlight.

Little known Beetle fact - on RHD they have, religiously, switched everything* over from the LHD models. That means if numpty researches 'where the feck is the pollen filter?' then he lifts the wrong half of the dash out - another six screws.

*excluding the card that lists the mini-fuses - that's still the LHD version so all the fuses are arse-about-face in the holders

Not sure tbh - the car is a 2005 VW. The filter is marked FB FILTAIR 507 44 0031
Not sure that's a factory fit(Febi-Bilstein??) - but it has to be knocking on a bit in any case?

Shows that even mainstealers don't even do the full job, yet charge for the replacement?

I saw a red one today and instinctively looked at the driver to check if it was Ronnie Pickering

As if traveling to and from hospitals isn't bad enough, there are some of the crappest roads in Scotland on the route I have been taking. The OSF shocker on the 75 has burst and pished oil everywhere. Awesome.

Hopefully getting a 2nd hand pair locally over the weekend which are apparently correct for my car. Who knew that MG ZT comfort spec suspension was a thing and its the same used on Contemporary SE 75s?

Arrrrrrghhhhhh!!!

Tried the cheaper injector loom and it really don't plug into the loom naturally, and 1 bolt hole no where near fitting, I've emailed my local vw dealer with the part number....

But I've had an idea... its only 5 wires.... chop off connector off new plug and connect the old plug off the old loom......

Gotta work right?

There's a tool that allows you to extract all the contact pins from a VAG multi-plug, which should enable you to transplant everything into the correct connector without having to spend half an afternoon soldering cables together.
