Behind a nissan Juke today. Feck me ugly or what?

Reminded me of a shoe that had become trapped in an escalator.

my wife owns one. it's a different look than most cars. Lucky you can't see it when you are driving it.

On my way to Scotland to check over my BTL. Machine for the job was obviously the one that has only been on fleet for a couple of weeks

181 miles in.... needed a splash of Tesco’s finest* 10w40 and some air in the tyres before leaving but it’s been ace so far.

I haz done a buyage. But this addition is not something challenging, exciting, or even new to me, and as the collection involved a nerve wracking all-of-ten-miles drive home, I am set to disappoint you all in regards to collection drama. Not even a pez station shot.

Soz.

So! What haz been procured? Lankytim will already have guessed, as he pointed it out to me about three days ago and Keymaster knows far too much of what goes on at Chez Chod to not be aware of today's new arrival:

Yes, this sad sack of shite has joined the fleet. It is currently in the naughty corner, as the MAP sensor or possibly something else that causes the 5V line to drop out, creates a frisson of uncertainty to every journey: will it even start, let alone get me some of the way there? It did manage to heave its ludicrous bulk from the house of the seller to the home of the gullible, but it proved the seller's 'shpares or reapers' approach to selling it wise, by starting one time in 20 at the viewing and test drive. Once it was going, I was very reluctant to switch it off again. Even though the key can be removed from the ignition without forcing this issue...

In its favour, it was only slightly too expensive to not gain a shoe in to the 'Drive away for £200, the cheapest of cheap shite' thread, has an MOT till March, has what may turn out to be fully functioning LPG, and crucially, has an operational drivers window, which our ailing silver OMGHGF Voyager is sadly lacking.

Yes, you read that right: I am currently the proud* owner of two - yes TWO! - two 2002 (keep up at the back, there) Chrysler Grand Voyagers. Both are decidedly sticky and smelly inside, but one of them may respond to a cheap fix, while the other requires me to shell out nearly six ponies for the chance to find out if I've royally shagged what was otherwise a fine engine.

Which of these vehicles will pass another MOT and which will have its not insubstantial bulk sent over the bridge?

Prace bets now!

What an excellent tool - it’s not more than AN CAR despite its sporting provenance* but it’s certainly competent. Comfortable too.

I seem to have put a deposit on another white Citroen bx. It's a 1.4 st Tropez, complete poverty spec except for a tilting glass sunroof and fantastic looking seats. Proper petrol with a carb and choke knob. Been many a year since I've had one of those. Need to get the scrap bx cut up now so I can get the new one brought home.

Isn't there an old Chinese proverb about never poking a sleeping transit, or something?

Well, if not, there should be.

Mostly prepped and ready for welding tomorrow now. Need to sort out the bottom of the wheel arch and front cill next.

I may have accidentally purchased some weller wheels, arch extenders and another gallon of NATO green paint.

Marshalling completed! Stayed dry but cold wind, several mechanical failures and one FTP due to being on its roof! No injuries and all seemed to enjoy it. Good day out.

Replaced the front door on the house today. Stood back and thought, damn, that’s a mighty fine driveway.....

Discovered today that the 156 was very, very low on oil.

4 litres later and it's running so much better. Smooth idle, no tick...

This one is really growing on me. Even my old car sceptic friend likes it.

Well the x1/9 has been repatriated to wales successfully- ran perfectly up from Surrey non-stop. Brakes work and clutch works too so that’s an improvement. The 2cv started ok and I gave it a run out by taking my mum to visit my aunt after Wrexham won the match.

I’ve just been with my parents for dinner in Chester - not knowing it was a race day. Some of those women wandering about will catch their death of cold! Da Noi in Bridge street. Owner was taking pics for his Facebook....

The twin sparks are notorious for oil consumption. The V6s not so much, but I will keep a watchful eye on it.

Odd, I didn't think it would be a decent steer but it's really grown on me. I've even started to eye up timing kits for them.

No oil is what killed my Dads twinspark about ten years ago, despite the efforts of his shit thick wife who slammed it up kerbs with such regularity that we had a pile of spare wheels to put on every time she destroyed one.

It lasted about 2 months after I moved out and stopped putting oil in it when I heard it clattering up the drive.

Off to Doune today near Stirling to watch the Hillclimb. Looking forward to it, it's absolutely wild watching the fast single seaters on a road barely wider than them.
