I would PX the Duster tomorrow for one if I wasn’t about to get mortgaged up to the eyeball

Forget “your home may be at risk” I think my bollocks would be first in line when my Mrs found out!

......I was pondering about why the hell I'm doing this, at the very time my arm was up the front grille being eaten by German plastic and getting cold + sore. ......

I imagine vets sometimes ask themselves the same question when they've got one arm up the arse of a cow.

Dear Mr Sic, thank you for your recent purchase of an Audi TT Mk2, we hope you are happy with your purchase and we value your custom, especially in our spares department where we will take great delight in emptying your wallet on a depressingly routine basis.

At least your arm wouldn't be cold...

It'd cost a fortune in wrist watches however.

The Charade just went off with its new owner, a nice, quick, simple transaction which also included a random, if brief, meetup with a shiter at the train station - good to see you Holbeck!

I love it already!

That’s a pretty early one. There are a couple of K reg ones left.

The same basic engine is in the zx I’ve got at the moment, that’s pretty quick and will certainly do 80. Check the fuel filter isn’t breeding new life.

Shall do. I probably worded it badly, I just didn't want to stress the engine too much after a lack of use.

Quite pleased how tidy it seems. There are faults obviously, but nothing is perfect.

Rebuilt both front calipers on the wife's qashqai. Great job, all bled and no more seized calipers.....

So to celebrate I reversed it into the wheelie bin and put a fucking huuuuge dent in the tailgate.

Mrs to her credit was very understanding but I managed to remove the inner trim and push 90% of it out. Two tiny thumb sized dents left now but it's still bugging me as the rest of bodywork is pretty decent for the age.

Lucas PAS stop leak as recommended on here seems to work even for a rack leak. No more puddles when parking.

Anyone know of a hire company in the U.K. that has Mustangs on their fleet? Preferably the 5.0

For the first time since September I gave the Abarth a proper wash, even tried useing proper wax to trat it out. (Came out not bad)

But I made too big a mix of wash as always, so decided to give the Lexbage a quick wash while I was at it...

Even after washing that I still have some mix left over...so I ended up washing the widows of the house.

Gave the passat a clay. The paintwork has never had much attention by the looks of it. It needs some tar spots removing then a good polish. There are a few marks that will need attention from a rattle can.post-4771-0-39916600-1522604395_thumb.jpg

Me three! I was waiting for them to come down secondhand. However all that has happened is that they've got older and more miles but stayed the same price. The ecoboost ones have lost more, but who really wants a 4cyl Mustang?

I'm hoping that when the updated 2018 model hits these shores, it will finally push down them a bit. These finance deals on at the moment I guess are for the 2017 model.

Hence why I am loking at a monaro - old skool bang for your buck. It you want a V8 now is the time as I can see them being priced off the road.

Not if they're Soviet* watches from Poundland.

Not sure it's appropriate washing people with car washing liquid. ;)

But it will give them a glossy finish.

That looks great. One of the previous courtesy cars at the Citroen garage had a base LX model with the same interior. That was am M reg in purplish maroon though with the chevrons in the grill.

But that's what it's labelled for...

That's a late one isn't it. I didn't even know they were making them then. Newest one I can recall is a P reg.

Fitted a pair of period correct anti-theft window stickers to The Volvo today. I had a similar pair in my mark 3 Fiesta in the mid-1990s:

Pawnote: the car has never had an alarm fitted, but it does have a rudimentary (but effective) immobiliser. Perhaps I should buy a period correct 'easy fit' alarm to supplement the stickers?  ;)

My wife's 19 year old niece owns a 2004 Peugeot 206 1.1, it was her first car and she paid £1600 for it 18 months ago, on Wednesday she paid the local Citroen dealer £130 for a full service and then today she asked me to look at the power steering as it went heavy on the way to the inlaws this morning, it's dripping oil out of it quite heavy and the level is low (shes done about 20 miles since it was serviced) i then noticed the header tank looked a bit dark...

It's full of oil! It's all emulsified inside too! I'm guessing the head gasket has gone although there's no other signs at the moment, I'm shocked that the garage never picked this up on the service before she spunked £130 with them, they even said this tyre was ok still but needed changing soon.

I've told her it's not worth fixing and she probably have to scrap it now, poor girl. I would have never recommended her to buy a 206, I've also told her to put a complaint in at the garage too.

I bet they didn't even look at it. Mechanic has hit their targets for the month and so not bothering doing the work requested. Happens all too often in many dealers unfortunately.
