Bloody traffic jam and roadworks this morning made me late for work a meeting an appointment . . . oh who am I trying to kid, I've got nothing in my life to be on time for.

Still waiting for the Pants Hat shots ....

Had a ride up on this thing yesterday.

Facelifted Horsey Horseless I reckon...........only 4hp but seemed to have plenty of torque. Steering a bit vague though.........

That's a Horsey Horse. Similar to the Horseless model except the manufacturer incorporated Horses in it.

Some Horseless models were sold with the lifestyle "Cheval" pack which had leather trim and Horses so it could be a high spec Horseless model with the options

In other news the central locking on the drivers door of the Leon started working again. For a week.

I suspect it's dampness in the "comfort" module. When it was dry, a few runs with the heater directed at my feet seemed to dry it out and it came back to life. Bit of rain Monday night and it's stopped again.

Plenum unblocking time!

I've got two ratcheting ones now. A "CK Tools" branded one, which does insulated terminals and a top-notch Chinese one via AliExpress which is exactly the same and much cheaper. The Chinese vendor also sells the different jaw pairs so you only need the one set of pliers for various terminals.

Got a link for the AliExpress one or a seller name as I'm adept at buying pure trash one there otherwise...

Remember this?post-17414-0-59258700-1481638662_thumb.jpeg

Well the MOTs expired and its SORNED now. Maybe I should leave a note offering £500 before the Council or DVLA lift it.

I've only driven this about 1.5 miles so far, but it seemed ok.

The interior is minging and the wipers are comically slow, sod driving it in medium-heavy rain until they're sorted.

FTP in the Rover 220 , backed it out of it's space in work then it stalled and wouldn't restart, hopefully just flooded as it tried to catch a few times then just stunk of petrol, couldn't be arsed waiting for AA so cadged a lift home Will have to get one of them bus things in the morning and hopefully it will have fixed itself

If fuel injected, have you tried putting foot to floor and cranking over? Most injection systems, this cuts the fuel pump and should help clear the flooding.

Yeah I tried that and it started to catch but was coughing a little then wouldn't run, the cheek of it after all the MOT work I did! I'll get the AA out tomorrow when I get into work if it still won't play.

Uber reliable i10 becomes unreliable as soon as warranty expired. Frequent fail to start, turn key and no lights, then try again a couple of times and it starts. Turning the steering wheel from lock to locks causes the lights to fade and jerks the steering wheel. Alternator or battery, or both?? Fuck knows, don't really care.

99 quid Golf starts on the button and will be pressed into service until I can be arsed to sort the i10 out.

A bus. Sod that. I got the 10B the other month into Fairfield to collect my honda crv, now living with my brother on the south coast. It was like the Jeremy kyle show on wheels.

I like the footwell-mounted teabag

Billys haggling.

£50 and a drink, final offer.  Pays £50, throws teabag. Speeds away.

Is it still 6p Paul?  Could be even worse than your journey..I'm heading to Bootle !

No it was £2.40 and there wasn't a conductor. The driver said first class was upstairs at the back, lying bustard. Bootle ? That probably means two buses. Twice the exposure to the unwashed.

A former colleague had the same with a Micra, it was hardly ever used and the battery was dying on it causing similar issues

This bugger is used daily, about 60 miles per day useage. Mind you the battery is about the size of a fag packet. Never seen such a small battery on a car.

A guy on a bentley forum has exactly the same car as me and is having exactly the same problems with starting it as I did. So having paid the money to all and sundry to sort mine out I have informed him of the fault, where the bastard is and how to get it fixed.

But, he prefers to imagine it's the starter or the ignition switch or the earth leads or a relay or a solenoid or any one of a million other things that it isn't.  He has all but told me I'm a lying sack of shit and I'm completely wrong and talking out of my arse.

Ho hum... I won't wait around for an apology.

Too bloody cold and dark too early to get any decent work done. Need to drop out the front subframe too.

BMW has actually had an oil + oil filter change recently, oil still looks black though (when it went in it was nice and golden though) might need an engine flush. Next week it's booked in Saturday to have the anti-roll bar bushes re-bushed as they are rattling. After that it'll be the brakes discs/pads.

I fixed the daft instrument panel on my goona - turns out the reason the foglight lamp illuminated when I braked or indicated left was a duff LH reversing light bulb.

One day I'll have to get the back doors opening again.

That modern trend for huge wheels and no sidewalls just looks wrong, doesn't it?

I've not offered it for sale on here because it's a bit fucked - hopefully they won't check it too thoroughly
