I collected a sofa in my old BX estate.  I was quite lucky that one of the legs was broken and stuck together with parcel tape as it wouldn't have quite fitted without removing the repair.

Today I've been a paid mechanic.  Replaced two windows in a friend's Zafira A.  She locked herself out so smashed the quarter light but still couldn't reach the lock so broke the drivers window too.  I said she didn't have to but it did take 4 hours.  Thought the quarter light would be difficult but it was only 30 minutes of that.

The amount of stuff you can fit in a BX or a Xantia does defy belief a little when you look at the size of the car.

Several times people gave me "there's no way that'll fit in th...oh...okay then!" Line when I turned up with the Xantia to shift large furniture items, boxes of computer gear, or indeed on one occasion two industrial air conditioning units...

You can fit a Sinclair C5 in the back of one too - though you do need to remove either the rear seat base or the front wheel of the C5 if you want to close the boot.  I opted for the seat base as it takes about 30 seconds and didn't require me to reassemble things when we got to our holiday destination.

It's true- I'm still astounded at how much stuff this car can take.

See, it's not the same but you can see the Bertone family resemblance.

MOT time for the blue one. I'm confident... probably jinxed myself now.

Piece of cake . 600 miles between MOTs. Terrible effort.

Advisories for perished numberplates, minor oil leak (rocker gasket) and floor rails being slightly squished (same every year - I put jass reinforced rails over them years ago to stop them getting worse)

Anyone want a really tidy low mileage Mx5 with 1 years MOT? 😂

Perished plates?

"Front Registration plate deteriorated but not likely to be misread"

"Rear Registration plate deteriorated but not likely to be misread"

Or in short ...perished.

I've always wanted one of these. Used to be a chap near Slough who imported them and sold them cheap. Not seen any from him for a few years now.

of course you want the one car made out of composite materials that can still rust badly

Collegue asked me too change her spark plugs on her skoda octavia 2014 as her dad couldn't get coil on plugs off , so she asked me and bloody hell they stuck like shit too a blanket, so tried 2nd plug and coil and it move more , so between me and an assistant we tried gently pulling as I didn't want to break it, but the rubber separated ( story of many unhappy mens lives..lol ) from the coil top, and the rest would not release from inside the tube, asked when last changed and never in her ownership, its going for a cambelt soon so she gonna get them to look at it, told her she will need it to be replaced and most likely all 4.

Okay, guess I'm fault finding on an ignition system this afternoon then.  Beats vacuuming the house so I'll take it!

Quick Google reckons it's common problem, u can buy a tool but can't see the difference, and found a video but they seem like brand new  coils he pulling out no efforts..

The Saaaaaab passed its MoT. Well, actually it didn't, because the headlamps were boss-eyed and pointing at the sky. But the nice man at the garage adjusted them for £10 which I'm calling a win, based on the amount of time I'd be faffing about with measuring tape and chalk and then have to take it back for a re-test.

My new job is a 60 mile round trip but (so far) 2 days a week. I've been using the Puma for fuel economy reasons but the Saab is a much better cruiser and there's a short run on the M40. Think I'll treat myself to first-class next week.

Yeah I think that one's cheap because it's an import 😉

They normally go for over £1m I think.

Good job you didn't scratch it!

Did the long journey home super early in the morning. No issues at all and comfortable as ever. It even lost zero oil.
