Fuck it, I'll have the xm and will deal with the consequences later. I'll send you a pm.

Awesome, you've saved me some heart ache I was in the middle of getting Shipley quotes to Scotland (and they weren't cheap).

I'll let you know when I realize what a terrible mistake I've made😂

@Schaefft Will need to speak to the better half but I'm going up to Durham a couple of weeks after.

That sounds even better! Let me know what she says, happy for you to have it for a few weeks. Curious to see how it compares to the V6 Safrane.

I am driving Portsmouth to Durhamshire in a week or so.  I can't do a big diversion but I'm sure Mrs L1 would love a few hours in a big Citroën without the kids.

Luckily the leather is wipe-clean

I mean, my eldest is pretty good on his bike, but I'm not sure he's quite ready to drive a Duster towing a trailer 450 miles home

Argh fuck!!!!

Out at the zoo with the kids and missed the XM again!! I’d only not messaged when it was for sale before because the XC90 had its MoT so I needed to check it didn’t fail and need shit loads of work. Which it didn’t and when I went back the ad had gone.

Damn.

Well bought @Schaefft.

Having checked the dates I'm heading back from Cornwall on the 12th and up to Durham on the 28th.  Miss C is happy to help but would like a go, can put it on my classic policy for pennies so it's fully comp and has recovery.

Definitely up for a NE shitters gathering while I'm up there.

Only downside is that I can't bring the 406 back for myself!

I took the 406 up to the hafod in ceredididididgion a few weeks ago, i loved it. It has the late porsche breathed on v6 and sounded lovely and went well!

There's been talk of a WD-40 (Weardale 40 mile run) and I've a few routes planned out.  I can't do the bank holiday weekend though.  Will bump the twixfest thread.

If you'd left it there I could have walked over and collected it ;-)
If you'd offered the Citroen this time last week I'd have chewed your arm off for it as I was dropping sprogs C4 in at  Plymouth and coming back Sunday with the spare driver (t'missus) who would have leapt at the chance of not driving the XM (she has an allergy to automatics -weird?) so could have convoyed the Boxer instead - as well, such is life, there'll be another one along soon.

My Volvo is up for sale now.

What I should buy:- another diesel Volvo estate that's nearby.

What I will actually buy:- a V6 petrol French coupé that's 100s of miles away. If there's any way of it being transported closer to me, anyway.

Tell me about the Volvo. I'm in Devon. :D

Edit: seen it... looks nice... will give the ad a proper read in a bit.
