Good to see you back Bub, shite cars are a good constant in life when other problems crop up. I think.

Mine lasted 15 years, was seperated for 6 years and finally got my divorce this year. i have a daughter who at the time was 15 so i tried hard to keep things cordial. I get on better with my ex now than i did when i was married. I've managed to buy another house, which is slightly bigger but with no garage, and finally found a girlfriend who is mad on cars too. So whilst sometimes things can seem bad, there can be light and a better future at the end of the tunnel.

Best of luck for the future Daz, and hopefully there will be plenty of shite, but not shit.

Sorry to hear that Bub, but on the bright side the fiesta is weapons grade, if you end up with the cav as well you'll be winning.

Good luck on the new job too. I imagine it's a bit steadier than the delivery work and it makes a monumental difference having people working in home care who actually care...

Could be up for cannock but will have the real bub with me as I now can't leave him at home!

Bring him!  He's a top kid.

Sorry to hear about relationship woes Daz, but welcome back to the beige place. That Fiesta looks a tidy little thing, not much really to go wrong with the 1.3 HCS Valencia either.

Welcome back! :)

That Fiesta looks ace, especially inside. The seats in late mark 3s are really plush, no doubt due to the Mondeo effect. I remember having a 'Classic' courtesy car in 1997 which had the same 'Papillon' seat trim as certain versions of the aforementioned mid-rangers.

Me greedy? Never :-)

How many more times its not for sale! I don't care that you can take it now or that it'll fit on the back of your Transit. Oh and that's my copper pipe too!11

I'll trade you a caravan with periwinkle seat cushions, if I'm feeling generous ill throw in a daag

What happened to the c2? Must have missed that.

Wemyss on holiday in May, wife's car died so ended up coming back to fetch c2 with the stricken vectra. Went back to fetch her and son then went car shopping. Found her a car and on way home the c2 shit itself!

bad news about family life, but on the bright side you're rid of the vectras! lol

That is true. Not so good is the fact I like early vectras myself so they are a possibility for the larger car!

Periwinkle bloo?

Welcome back Bub.

There's 33,000,000 women in the UK but only 43,000 Fiesta LXs of all ages left. I'd say that makes you a winner!

I've not actually looked on hml yet but that's taken with a pinch of salt. Can't be many though with the electric windows etc.

Sad news about the dog, and the wife.

But good to see your "Man Maths" game is strong with the Mk 3 Fester.

I had one ( well, two) as you know.

Fecking hated the piece of shit. Took to leaving it unlocked from about 18 months old onwards in the hope some fecker would rob it - they never did. Eventually P/X on a Laguna.

Sorry to hear of your woes, but chin up ,lots of people have bounced back after owning a 307.

Now, let's hear more about this Cavalier.

The cavalier is an unknown as yet, just something I seen. I'm looking for a larger, older automatic and unsure what to go for!

Welcome back! I'll echo everyone else, sounds like you're bouncing back pretty quickly. Nice Fez - I like those a lot more than the rounded off sad face version.

Thanks, I prefer the dashboard in these, so early 90s Ford. Drives great too. Unsure of the fuel economy at the minute so may be up for sake sooner than I thought but I'll give it a more thought at least

I'll take it only if it's eaten a diamond!

On subject of older cars, just done a quote on a volvo 740 2.3 auto on ebay. Class 1 business cover and full comp for 17 quid a month.

Not so much an issue as the larger car will be used for longer runs and I can't see it being much worse than the kia carens 1.8!

You sure on that?

Kia carens was averaging around 22-24. Maybe break 28 on a long run. Enlighten me if I'm wrong, I just thought they would be capable of around 25/26 from info online.
