Sorry dude. You were quite willing to hold us all to ransom a few weeks back by threatening to close down the whole site immediately. You then sent your lad into bat for you. I actually felt bad. Then you have the sheer audacity to wade in, despite the absolute carnage and disruption previously endured, to ask why things - effectively - were being done properly and thoroughly.

 

Part of me wants to ask where you get off? The other part wants you to carry on - because the entertainment is high and the irony clearly missed on you.

I think we've had enough recriminations for a while, no sense in dragging it out further in my mind. Let's carry on being united by our shared love for crap old cars.

I understand the sentiment of what you're saying, and why you're saying it.  Genuinely.  (I'm not BV72 in disguise)  But I don't believe that statement to be true.  And if it WERE true, it wasn't always true.  Billy said as much himself in either this or another thread.  

 

However, I doubt my honesty is helping you get any assistance from Dave - so I'll button it.  The sooner this is all bloody well done, the better.

Genuinely. I can't find the words.

 

I was beginning to feel a bit bad, and wonder whether a few of us overreacted. This fantastic display of the pot and the kettle has offered much reassurance.

 

Brilliant.

 

 

It was pretty wow.   I don't know if it's a case of tin ear, chutzpah, or just sheer bloody mindedness.  Pretty impressive, whichever it is.   I see also that the true believers still truly believe.  Vive le Sport!

We had, none of us bought anything up. Everyone is letting what needs to happen happen. Everyone knows it will take a while but be worth it because the people doing it are being open and honest about it, in a way even the non technical can understand.

Yep.

 

Dave is the one having a pop. And it seems at odds with the official line of where the hand-over is at.

 

I'm interested that on the same page he is complaining about the deadline for renewal coming up and the cost of renewal, the new custodians are asking him for the renewal date and for info on how much it's cost.

 

Like BorniteIdentity above, I suppose I better keep my mouth shut though. I just don't like the undertones of the last couple of pages.

Rather than continue to snipe and generally be a gammon, chill out a bit, and just try to be nice. You never know, you may actually enjoy it.

Have you not noticed that it was Dave who re-ignited the discussion?    He has the effrontery to criticise those who are clearing up his mess.  A few people (not just me) suggest that that's a bit cheeky.  That's all.
