Yes. But (at least in Romania) it used to be a lot friendlier than the friendliest place you've ever had an MOT. For instance, a pass for a car with bits of the floor missing would have been 3 times the regular charge, and for that blue Cielo only 2 times the actual charge.

On a different note, now I've seen who I'm going to meet tomorrow in the afternoon.

Thanks chaps. We're just mooching around Sofia today. Lots of chod spotting done, but not sure when we'll get a chance to collate a report.

 

Oh and bureaucracy means we're no going to be able to complete the paperwork until Tuesday, so may need to review the route home. We are still going to collect the car on Sunday, but stay local with it.

Brodders had to cancel at the last minute. It is now just the two of us! However, after a brief scare, the Dacia will be good to go on Sunday after all.

 

Today, we've just been sight-seeing.

 

We also went for a ride on a trolley bus with our friend Vladimir. Only it turned out we couldn't pay, so we had a free ride to the next stop...

 

 

Absolutely loving it, I must admit. Would recommend a visit to anyone.

Daewoo Super Saloon, Top of range brother of Daewoo prince. I had one of these, first car i ever bought new from a dealer. It's a Opel Omega copy with some glitter.

Alas we don't. Spent too much time listening to random jazz in a tiny tea room, with a singer who made his own trumpet and drum noises. Quite unusual but very enjoyable. It's been one heck of a day to be honest.

Had a cracking day today with Ian and Vladimir. Walked round, seen the sights, tried the very nice food and beer then spotted chod till it got dark so went to a gig. Have some photos.
