I've just seen ELL 1S on a Merc which looked pretty good. 

 

Reminded me of this which I remember seeing on a Merc on BBC1 Childrens TV in 1986:

OO7 is now on a 1987 White Rolls Royce that is still taxed until 2015.

Sounds like it still belongs to his widow or his dodgy playboy grandson ,who hasn't wasted his inheritance on new cars. According to the papers he's been too busy shagging Claudia Schiffer,Elle Macpherson and both Minogues,although he's now married to another model 20 years his junior.

Thought I'd already mentioned, my (Italian) friend's dad owns a restaurant in Hale or Altrincham, and he has PAS7A on his 6-series (modern).

Also there's an office furniture place I pass every day called G. Armstrong, that has at least four or five plates that are 'xx GA', on an Escort van, a Merc Atego truck, a Hilux and an E or S-Class, and a VW LT Luton (the Sprinter kind).

Where I work, up until a few months ago, we had a couple of rug-munchers come in for "servicing" with an Astra, reg V61NAL.... I often thought it should have been V461NAL. They traded it in for summat modern, and the Astra disappeared to auction.

No pictures 'cos I was driving,but today on the M1 I saw:

 

C6 TGV- on a silver Citroen C6, quite cool and probably very cheap from doovla.

 

50PER- on a white new shape (fugly) Merc SL , didn't see driver as it came past me well into 3 figures. Could it have been Steve Soper?
