Similarly, saw T7EES on a pickup belonging to a tree surgeon today.

I've got loads somewhere, but these are all I've uploaded to Flickr so far.

I think R5 OUL would be better.

Saw 8EES on a Mini the other day. Presumably a bee keeper.

I haven't got that one, I do have R500 HOL if that's any use to you, and I have P11 LOK on an BMW X5 somewhere.

Many years ago when I first started driving, one of my favorites on a Mazda 929 estate was FOF 2V spaced F OF 2 V - Cartell can't find it on a car though, so it looks like it died along with it.

Actually, its not a great number plate. Its a shit one.

That would work better on a formerly Spanish Renault 5 that was living in the UK. R5 Olé! (yes, I know the last letter is a C badly altered.)

That belongs to a coach company near to me, Souls of Olney. They've got a few different ones on coaches mainly used for contracts to Bedford private schools these days. Last time I saw R 5OUL it was on a Freelander, wonder why they took it off the school buses?

I grew up in Bedford being ferried around in Souls of Olney coaches for school trips and so on. Apparently, before my time, the company had a rebranding from R Souls to Souls of Olney when they finally twigged what everyone was sniggering at.

'RED 911' on a red Porsche 911, but when I saw it I didn't doff my cap or be instantly overwhelmed with respect for the driver. I just thought 'oh look, a chav with a bit of coin'. I thought about getting a private plate just to hide the age of my car, but didn't because I think it's actually vulgar.

Ah, Souls. They do have a load of 5OUL and 50ULS plates but R5 OUL has never been on a coach and TBH I'm amazed the Doovla even issued it. Mr Livered's story I think is partly true - there was certainly an R. Soul in charge at one time but I don't think his name ever actually appeared on the vehicles. The current owner is David Soul so I'd like to think that Starsky & Hutch style stripe is more than just coincidence :)

I'm beginning to doubt myself now,I've definitely seen R5OUL on an old style blue Freelander . In the past I've seen it on a Rover 800 in and around Olney/ Sherington/Newport and the fact Souls was also a Rover dealership maybe I assumed it was one of theirs.

No, you're quite right about R5 OUL, it checks out on Cartell as a 2004 blue Freelander - I haven't seen it myself but in that area it's bound to be Souls'. I just thought it odd that it got issued at all as the potentially rude ones are usually weeded out. Then again, I've always found it a bit odd that Doovla never released BUM but would issue CUM, which is surely ruder.

Same firm also had M500 CUM, both with 500 Cummins lumps.

Spotted this a while back on the M56. Thought it was quite good, the "CABBIE" inside must be hoping the plate is his pension fund or something...

That Merc plate  (ALIBIS) doesn't make sense. Unless it was A11BIS and he's made the first 1 look like an L, and even then you can't have an 'I' in the three letters anyhow.

It's a New Zealand plate, I'm pretty sure you can have any combination of letters and/or numbers there so it is actually ALIBIS and not some contrived alternative.

I almost went for DAT50N for my Datsun but I couldn't justify the £1200 price at the time.
