I am not an expert on these modern things but a friend has an Aston with a Jag engine (we refer to it as his Jag!) so it might be right (or the DB9 uses a different engine and I am talking bollox again)

The V8 Vantage has the Jag engine.

The V12 in a DB9 is the Mondeo V6 welded.
