Alright shiters, help me in my quest to lose some ballast by buying this Rover which owes me much more than the asking price

I have repaired the sill at the rear end like so, but have not got round to painting it so it looks exactly like this with a coat of zinc primer on. The new owner can tart that up with a tin of Rover BRG metallic (which is provided).

Havent got any good pics of the interior but its got the black half-leather set up in very nice condition.

Good points:

Long MOT, passed just 3 or 4 weeks ago and not been used since

new cambelt

new front tyres and centre exhaust

2 refurbished fobs for the 5AS immobiliser

new centre exhaust

55,000 miles - seemingly genuine according to the MOT webshite

Locking wheelnuts have been binned and replaced with proper nuts.

Bad points:

a few blebs here and there

no stereo

I have not used this car myself so although it runs and drives great, I can't offer any long-term guarantees about its karma level. However the 1.4 multipoint K-series runs lovely and I can certainly say theres piss all wrong with the HG. I have fitted a new thermostat as a precautionary measure. The gearchange and door shut action are as good as you will find on an R8.

Basically the message is come and drive it away for £350. I did offer this to IainL for 300 elsewhere on here, I think 350 is a fair price but if that last 50 is a deal breaker for you and you sound plausible I might barter a bit. Its in Cheshire (Nantwich). PM me or call O78OO 9O2396

Cheers

That still seems excellent value. I'll concede that this one did tempt me, but I'm putting car buying on hold until I'm back from hols. Therefore, someone else should nab this BARG.

IN a few weeks the old G-reg Fatha_Bo11ox R8 is likely to become available as he is having an upgrade to Rover 45 2.0 KV6 power, anyone fancying a very rare mega early single-point 214 R8 should get in touch.

Has Fatha BALLZ R8 still got my Grandad-in-laws R8 cylinder head on it?

Wow, a '95 plated SEi!

Makes me very nostalgic for mine. Fantastic motor - I hope it goes somewhere it will be loved!

I was seriously tempted by this, especially as the Megane seller was pissfarting me around something bloody awful. Looks like I'm on for Weds night though but we will see.

Absolute VALU, considering the work that has gone into it. Looks a lovely way into Rover ownership.

This is relevant to my interests.

There was a G reg one in Goldmember Bronze on eBah earlier in the year, and it certainly got things twitching downstairs.

Is it red/pink?  Definitely keen to hear more.

Oh my.

If it had the blue dash I'd probably just kick Mr Testicles out of it now.

I'll await the fuller advert with great anticipation.

As a satisfied former customer of Bo11ox Shite Contract Hire (Cayman Islands) PLC and Bo11ox Gambling Services (Gibraltar) Ltd, I have no hesitation in saying this deal is probably legit.

Roll up roll up, I sold my camper today for a bit less than I really wanted so need to make up the difference, come and give this sweetie a good thrashing and take it back to yours after

Posted

I'd love to park this next to my R8 convertible but I have neither the space nor the funds

Looks fit though

A G-reg R8 to go with my G-reg SD3 would be awesome!

We all know how that ended.

I'm starting to run out of reasons not to have this...it would only be my 3rd R8 and my 2nd ex-Bo11ox one.  Hmm.

An Award Winning Rover 214SEi

£2,395

Mr Mills along with his wife were regular attendees of the Mid Lincs Rover Club Rally whereby the car has gained a number of awards and trophies including ‘Best Modern Rover’.

For a car that appears to be in nearly new condition I don't think that's a bad price.

I agree that its GR8 condition and low miles and whatnot, but it's priced about £2000 above its actual market value.
