You absolute star! Now we can have a race to see who gets an MOT first!

I agree with Trig, even though he called me Sizzler ;-)

I've got a spare scrapper scuttle cover panel you can have (with or without holes for the spot lamps) and possibly a spare of the hidden panel that goes underneath it depending on the state of mine. Not the screen surround though.

Thanks, I've no idea what I'll actually need but the offer is appreciated.

Jeez, the way this is going, someone is going to find a prototype Tagora or the earliest Alpine in existence next. Followed by a Samba van.

Amazeballs.

I'm sure that 'scmick' off the blue will cheerily sort out the bodywork on this with his patented rabbit dottle welding techniques and tarmac underseal

Is he the guy with the Simca pickup thing? Did it ever see the road?

I also fancied a bit of a sniff at this Silver one too. I reckon it's gonna be on a par with Skizzers rot wise going by these photos that the sellers emailed me. Top purchase though and it's great to see 2 Ranchos being resurrected from their slumber!post-20412-0-23460000-1472230372_thumb.jpgpost-20412-0-44949300-1472230412_thumb.jpgpost-20412-0-37382700-1472230438_thumb.jpg

Yes, and yes. I re-read the resto thread on RR (?) the other day looking for tips on how Ranchos/Simca pick-ups are constructed. It's a good read but I'm getting my welding lessons elsewhere...

He's a good chap for being a leading light of the Simca UK OC nevertheless, and for posting up this Rancho where Trigger and Holbeck could find it :-)

Well if he got the thing back on the road hats off too him; I'll have to dig the thread out. I'm sure you'll do a better job of the welding...

This is KRAIZY!!!!!!!

This is identical to the one that lived in my parents street way back in the early 1980s.

So many legendary Autoshite moments in 16.

Chuffing Nora!!! Another Rancho on the beige forum? This site is deffo getting on top form lately when it comes to old chod, buttery biscuit base Sierra and 'bull stabber' Toledo, Cav mk1, mk2 Capri resto, Solara, and now this pair!

holbeck,if you want a quick MOT I still have most of the giant roll of black gaffer-tape (Skizzer only let me tape up part of one sill),  all you'll need is another roll of silver tape.

Posted

I demand the silver one is painted lurid seventees green - you know, the colour I'm now.

I shall make myself feel better by adding that they would have still got stuck at Shitefest 2016 as no ForWe'llDrive.

Bastards the pair of you.

We have a bronze rancho.

We have a silver rancho.

Where's the gold rancho?

Or did team USA win that one?

Well done, the beautiful area of Leeds, that is Holbeck ;)...

The pictures you and Braddon have posted don't look at all bad to me. What's the other A post like?

Oh. Now I need to write a 4 verse version of "Silver Dream Machine" and I can't even remember the tune.

Arse.

Nice purchase though. Now who will make it a hatrick?
