Just out of view to the right of that Focus Shep Shepherd posted, is a bungalow almost completely overgrown, with a MK1 Transit camper on the drive that only appears in the winter and has been sat there since the 80s.

This surprised me when I saw it, chock full of all books and that. I thought these were worth a coin or six.

MOT expired Sept 2015, but it's SORN'd so resurrection is still a teeny weeny possibility.

With a maroon Corsa B behind and a Carina e? behind that.

Indeed. All surrounded by varying degrees of jungle, like a very slow metal conger line.

  • 2 weeks later...

Been in situ for a good few weeks/months now. Remaining tyres flat, airbags deployed. Assume some kind of thievery or act of illegality involved

Just a thought but it smacks to me of an attempted roadside repair gone horribly wrong. The shiny new axle stand doesn't look very crim but it does have 'my first axle stand' written all over it.

That Transit I posted has finally been removed, a few days after the local kids covered it in graffiti

There was a dumped 14 plate Roomster diesel with DSG dumped in my street, with a bent front wing and front bumper, flat nsf tyre, and split rear bumper, bizarrely a couple of weeks ago it moved from right on the junction, to a hundred yards further in, it was collected earlier this week by what looked like a scrappy. Plain blue beavertail Sprinter

Mk1 focus has been dumped on the Sydenham bypass (between Belfast and Holywood) for over a week now. Front plate missing, bald tyres. Looks like it's broken down and just left there.

No pics as driving on my own every time I've shot passed.

Just another example of how disposable cars have become

Technically the Jags aren't dumped, just sort of "Lord Sterlingd" as in forgotten about, they are on the property belonging to the petrol station and I enquired about the silver Jag but he wants too much for it.

These are all in the same lay-by.

The Volvo is on a space saver and vauxhall alloys (didn't know they would fit) and is full of crap.

The Nissan van is a well used example.

Jaguar xjr is full of crap, some interior panels missing, green mould and smashed windows.

Anothet odd one in Beckton, London, just off of the Beckton roundabout by the McDonalds. Couple of weeks ago the A160 Mercedes was abandoned in the middle of the road in the box junction of the traffic lights. Went past that way today and it is parked up on the pavement by McDonald's. Looks to be in good condition, no vandal damage and no parking tickets either.

One of those XJ40s appears to be Guernsey registered.

Yes it is a Guernsey car. The petrol station owner said it belonged to a friend who lives in Guernsey and apparently uses it when he comes back onto the mainland. Apparently the silver Jag was bought forna spares car for the Blue Jag, but turned out to be better than expected. I know it's sat for at least a year when I first spotted it about the same time last year when I had a job going down Wales area from my house.

I was tempted to try and start it because it was open. Not in my area as such, but on the island where I'm in my holidays just now.

Wasn't there last year. Was full of jackets and general rubbish. I just got the feeling that it wasn't completely abandoned and on checking the DVLA it's in SORN so that back this up.

Hey LS, my parents live about 3 miles from that petrol station with the Jags and a friend from school had a Saturday job there. It's Whitney on Wye, Herefordshire about 5 miles from the Welsh border.

The owners' always been hoarding old crap - about 7 years ago this included a mouldy silver Alfa 164. Nothing ever looks like it will move under its own power again after about a year there.

Cool, It's quite a nice place, I like passing through Whitney in Wye. Bought some nice biscuits from the Texaco station towards the border.

At the old petrol station there is also a Blue P11 Primera that is starting to mould around window and stuff. The old chap at the petrol station said he wanted to open a small takeaway in the small building on the opposite side of the road where the Silver Jag is.
