My dad had one of these. Truly awful car, coma inducing interior.

I want one!

Why is it that medium sized Nissan hatchbacks have literally no styling what so ever? I think this model of Sunny was the pinnacle of no styling, with the Tiida not far behind.

Excellant car! I used to have one twenty years ago. Truly awful but never FTP despite me thrashing the guts out of it every day. Eventually gave it to the neighbours son as his first car. It only died when he put it through a hedge!

I remember these coming out new. A gorgeous student nurse convinced her boyfriend that he should sell his Manta and buy a new one of these. He did.

She must have been very skilled in the arts of passion. Did I mention she was a stunner? I hope it was worth it.

That looks truly miserable. Well done Sir :)

The K10 Micra may just clinch this one.

I did have some pics of Domestic Management's H-reg example she had 1991-93, but they seem to have disappeared.  Literally...

Mechanically tough as boots.

The interior is as pleasant as a sun holiday in Jaywick.

i used to drive the one my granddad had which was a 1.6 but completely missed the boat with my dads 5DOOR 1.8zx

I remember my Dad getting one as a company car E462 SOF, a white 3dr. The company had a big presentation and the registrations ran in number order and there was about 10 Sunny 3drs and 2 Sunny Coupes for the Sales Managers - Aspiration 80's style :-)

My mother had a C and an E reg 4 door saloon as her company car.  Both 1.5's but the second was only a 4 speed.

Because she had all her petrol paid, my parents would use it to thrash about the country at the weekends, despite my dad having a sierra.

Predecessor to my N15, is it a 12v or 16v engine? if its the GA14DE (might be earlier than this) they'll do 140k with ease. I like the boxy 'styling' - its less anonymous than my Almera which is curvier. Also 1.4 litre cars with towbars? wtf? mine has one which we have utilised once, but basically fitting a towbar to a revvy small engined, relatively light car is a poor life choice.

10/10 well done. Do let me know when you are bored with it and I'd be very interested in taking it off your hands.

This seems like a relevant place to leave a picture of the 'Pulsar' I saw in Perth.

How's this doing? I hope it's still as boring and tedious as ever, but serving you well. They just ran and ran and nothing would kill them. Except...

Rust killed my dad's one. None of the oily bits ever let him down. It was infinitely more reliable than his Hillman Avenger or Escrote mkII. Those two fuckers drove him to drink.

The Sunny saved his sanity I think because it started when it was meant to and ran beautifully until he scrapped it.

His also had the OK NISSAN sticker in the windows. No idea what it meant.

Dan Dan the Nissan Man!

It used to be Dan Dan the Datsun man, until Nissan buggered that up!

I remember an issue with fuel/temp guages with some sort of voltage regulator?? This was as a 90's mechanic, and we had lots on the books. Absolutely nothing else went wrong barring odd cv joint. Strong as a strong thing from Steriodsville,Russia
