31 cars for sale! Mainly Rovers, Peugeots and Renaults

I was recently told about a guy with a property full of old cars by a friend who is thinking about buying one, I popped around today and spoke to the chap to ask if they were all for sale. They are and I think many of them will be right up the street of many of you here. He explained to me that they are all low mileage with good interiors and is confidant that they are worth some money. He is looking for offers starting around £400. I've set up an album on Flickr for all of the photographs of them, you can find it here, details of the cars can be found in the individual photo descriptions.

If you are seriously interested in any of them please PM me and I will endeavour to get more details for you. He has asked me not to disclose the exact location so all I can say is that they are about 40 miles from M6 junction 45 and M74(M) junction 22.

A couple of the Renault 5s look alright but I think he may be disappointed otherwise

I think the Metro is fairly rotten, I can get more detailed photos at a later date if you would like to make an offer on it.

Kin 'ell, isn't this just how most of us on here are going to turn out or at least trying to be like?

Good luck to him but to be honest, he sounds like a bit of a Tinworm Steve regarding prices.

What a hoarder! I suspect what my back garden would wind up like if I was allowed. I like the look of the renault 21 estate. One of the montys M---DHP is fairly close to my 220 in reg number so may once have shared space in the Rover Group company vehicle compound.

£400 is my kind of money.

But it can be better spent.

Have to admit of all of those, the only ones I'd be interested in at the £400 are the Wolseley 1500, what looks like it might be a Popular/Anglia behind it, the Jag and the Land Rover.  Nothing else really warrants spending that sort of coin because they all look pretty far gone and little better than spares cars.

I can bet he'll want much more than £400 for the really old cars in there.  I don't think he wants to sell any of it, looks like a hoarder.

I would be happy with the Land Rover for 400 quid.

i thought that the metro might be abit rip, looking at the state of the front panel and wing....

What a hoarder!

There used to be a lot more cars a few years ago.

I would be happy with the Land Rover for 400 quid.

I'll see what he wants for it soon, it's been off the road for 25 years so no guarantee's that it's in decent shape.

Can't see anything there that's £400 worth short of the ST24, but then that's got something happening with the front end - if it's been bashed, or the engine has bits missing then even that's going to fall short. Or the LR with the winch is probably worth, but that'll need a massive cash injection.

There's a lot of interesting stuff for sure, but if the Metro is fucked with all the doors closed and windows shut I can't imagine what the stuff with the smashed windscreens and open doors is like. What's the red hatchback in the barn, Mk1 Fezzer? Wonder if being kept dry has helped it?

I do like that the Maestro Van was laid up at 77,777 miles.

Cute B reg Supercinq is one for the early reg plate madness thread, but it would need someone braver than me to save it. (Or at least married to someone other than my wife, I've just been told.)

"Ran when parked".

Some of the cars there are pretty appealing, I like the early 405s.

Depending on how rotten it is the fiesta might be worth it but really most just look like scrap

I've got as far as the Cavalier SRi and the S1 XJ6 and I want to cry.

It seems odd seeing newer stuff like the Mondeo MK2 in a state of decay.

Eeek! I remember when they first came out...a schoolfriend's Mum had a silver one...I always liked it.

It's jacked up with the front suspension sitting loose and an engine crane strapped to the engine.

It's a MK1 Fiesta.

Lot of landfill there...tis rare to see a badly rotten cinquecento...That Isle of Wight registered (DL) Renner 5 is a long way from home... :?

Bloody hell, there are 2 Mk1/2 mondeo' with their rear bumpers INTACT. Those have to be worth £400 each for the parts alone. He should open a museum with just those two as exhibits

'Once upon a time son, mondeo's didn't have loads of gaffer tape all over the bumpers'

'fuck off grandad'

Also, HW MCH 4CookR? £1.73 & BRKN Xbox 2nite?

I remember when pretty much everyone had a cooker like that, funny how things just disappear out of common sight and you don't realise.

They were probably worth saving 10-15 years ago but now await the arrival of a big metal munching thing unless someone needs really expensive spares. Or someone with pockets deeper than the Mariana Trench who really really wants to restore that S1 XJ6.
