This any use to you for any of your Citroen projects?

Solex 32BISA carb, used once for about five miles as an experiment.

Originally specified for a 1100 Chrysler/Talbot Horizon I believe...which suggests to me it's probably common to a bunch of PSA stuff from that era...hence might be useful for you.  Just let me know if it's likely useful, if so will bring it over next time I'm over your way.  If not it can disappear into the pile of stuff in the back of my garage for another few years.

This was from box of tat a customer gave us as he was clearing out. The shop it came from shut down donkeys years ago.

Just look at that price!

Now with LW!  Getting fancy.

Looks new buts slightly used, like its been a demo unit or something or it could be Ballsed.  Any use in the fleet before the bin?

POWER!!!!!

Never heard of the brand, but I see it has jack pin.

It looks useful to me as I am more keen to fit Radio/cass than Radio/CD in appropriate cars.

I want another battery like I had last time and 2 x 20 LTR blue antifreeze please.

It does look like the size of carb the Visa Cab and LNA use. Just the screw holes for the air filter etc are different.

Yep. Sure did. Fits like it grew there. A fraction longer and it wouldn't have gone in. Now starts instantly at the first touch of the starter even after standing for a week.

Good to hear.  Drop a message if you need any service parts/ oil for the Mondeo.

He may come with me next time. Thank you,I'll tell him that because he appreciates folk taking time for him. Something his mum never did and part of the reason why he now lives with me.

This would be good.  We can teach him to drive the Fergie!

I may have to take a rain check on the FoD weekend. I can get a tent but I may have work on the Saturday, probably won’t know until middle of next week.

Pictures of AndyRew’s radio reminds me I have a Kenwood (or JVC) radio/cd in my garage, did you still want one for the BMW 328 Chris? It’s a multichanger one, will have to check it’s got a single slot as well.

I got my 2CV out of storage today, I had to back fill the petrol pump and fuel line to make it start. Now it seems to start easily and runs well.

Yes it is rare to see my 2CV out and about but I thought it should make an appearance at the FoD open weekend 22/23 Aug. I am not like other 2CV owners who use their cars regardless and I consider 30 miles there and 30 miles back is a nice trip out in a 2CV before it becomes uncomfortable. I Know, I know many have driven them around Europe when I have succumbed to the comfort and economy of a Visa Diesel! Thing is I may have used it a bit too sparingly as it had an MOT in May 2019 at 52,734, now it is reading 52,852 miles  just 118 miles in over a year. (it is on a Boris MOT)

You do realise, don't you, that once you have driven a 2CV you will never want to look at another Invacar?

Happy to volunteer to give the 2CV some exercise!  Perfect open top weather...

I'm definitely *hoping* to make an appearance, it's just hard for me to commit to something like this more than a couple of days in advance with how my mental health is these days.  Also is the weather is anything like this it will definitely enforce my having to call time after a couple of hours as I just can't handle temperatures like this like I used to.

I am keen to offload the Philips unit I have in the boot. Not sure I’ll make the FOD but could make a detour to drop it off on Friday as I come back down the m40?

If I am not too rushed or stressed, I’ll pop it over Friday afternoon. I can leave it in a bag on the doorstep if needed ( don’t call the bomb squad!).

He won't call bomb disposal if the bag has the Royal Warrant on it....

The car needing the radio could be put on the drive and you could socially distantly fit it!

It is more likely to have “ Ocado store cupboard”.

If you come to the FoD open weekend 22/23 Aug what can you do!

Dress making – we have a generator but bring your own sewing machine

Flower arranging – plenty of wild ones at our place

Origami – I am sure we can find you some paper

If these don’t activities don’t appeal how about

Fitting Hayter Condor mower cylinder cut plate

Grease 2CV

Tow start Tiddly truck

Drill out Invacar wheel stud

Fit carb to Invacar

Fit Injection pump fitted to 1 ton dumper

Fit starter to tractor

Make Honda moped run properly

Get Chinese 125cc working

And if all else fails

Then you can always sit around and do nothing!
