I'm going to have to take a tape measure with me next time. Every photo I'm seeing seems to make it look like REV is narrower, and I'm sure it can't just be spherical aberration in everyone's camera optics.. Given we've already spotted several differences in the Invacar/AC moulds (especially up front where the return under the "bumper" is totally different) I do wonder if the Invacar has a slightly narrower nose now. It's surprising how many detail differences there are between them. Streamlined innit.

dollywobbler Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Another superb visit. Thanks to LBF for giving my girlfriend's parents a good run down on Invacar stuff, and Six Cylinder and Mrs 6C for hosting and allowing me to teach an 11 and 13 year old to drive in the 2CV. The 13-year old had already conquered the Vectra. An absolute natural. (Miss DW also drove the Vectra. She's not 13). Here's a shot of Rich enjoying the hilariously brisk Chinese 125. Six-cylinder Posted August 25, 2020 Author Posted August 25, 2020 So the Question is do folks want another FoD Open Weekend in September? It is a topsy turvy year and normally slotting another event in would be hard but this year with so little other stuff we could go for number 3. I am thinking 12/13 or 19/20 Sep. What do people think, is it too soon? The photo is dreaming of the future, the reality is a grass field as normal. chaseracer, Asimo, LightBulbFun and 2 others 5
Tadhg Tiogar Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 I'll be away in Wales at some point in September, so probably will be missing inaction this time round Six-cylinder 1
wuvvum Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 I'd definitely be up for it. 19/20 would suit me better as I'm on holiday the following week, but could probably make either. I still need to have a go in the JCB... Six-cylinder 1
beko1987 Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 12/13 would coincide with me not having the kids I think, and I could sleep over in the car (not putting the tent up and getting it wet). Amy's coming over tomorrow to book the school meals so I'll confirm

I still need to have a go in the JCB... It is amazing how easy it is to NOT drive stuff at the Field of Dreams. I didn't manage a drive in Gamma or Trevi this time! Suspect we're going to struggle with another visit sadly. The kids are especially disappointed as they had the time of their life driving actual cars. By the way, a 2CV is a great car to teach a child in, because the handbrake is on the passenger side and you can also easily reach the key. Thankfully emergency measures were not required, but that doesn't mean I hadn't considered them! Floatylight and Talbot 2
dozeydustman Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 26/27 is the only weekend in September I am currently not doing anything, so would be able to come up for shits and giggles then.
Saabnut Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 I will do my best to attend whatever date though no guarantees!
