Likewise there are a few Jag owners on here, but nobody has the povo spec XJ40 - the 2.9, with it's cloth interior and manual box.

I'd love to try an early Mk1 Trafic with the low-compression 48bhp 1397cc engine - I bet that would be proper dismal.  I had an E-plate Trafic with the 2068cc diesel engine and that was no ball of fire.

The Trafic only occurred to me after thinking about this thread, and drifting to rentals I've known.  I had 24 hours of a 1.4 Trafic in late 1981.  It was no BTCC Laguna, that's for sure.
