Cheshire - twinned with the Sahara desert...

funny, because when I lived in Cheshite it did fuck all but drizzle when it wasn't pissing down with rain.

A good day was when moisture just hung in the air :D

'205 with a boot'

The 205 has a boot, last time I checked.

Also 50mpg from a TU3 is incredibly unbelievable.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Cheshire the location of the UK's largest salt mine ?

Yes. Used for document archives mainly. There will be a file on each of us down there.

This car has huge historic value and should be treaded as such.

1 of 5 on the roads and known in exsistance.

How the ever-living fuck can an unpopular transmission variant of a facelifted Mk1 Clio, which turned out to be something of an engineering dead-end, possibly be classed as having 'huge historic value'? He sounds like he's trying to sell the Rover Gas Turbine car, the way he's crapping on.

What sort of museum does he reckon would fall over themselves at fucking Bonhams, of all places, to snap this up?

I understand The Isle Of Sheppey Museum of Shit Gearbox Versions of Tedious Small French Hatchbacks closed its doors sometime in 2014, despite huge public outcry and sternly-worded petitions to Parliament, so he's maybe overplaying his cards a smidge.

Nothing whatsoever in the listing about the condition of the bodywork - and I note all the pics have been taken in the rain, while standing on the opposite side of the road. For nine-and-a-half bags. Fuck right off.

Anyway, I understand @R9UKE of this parish bought a red Clio Zoom for the sheer novelty value a few years back - for all I know, he still has it too...

Have you scanned down to see the collection address and who's selling it ?

From a 2011 classic car mag.

I want to think the buyer garaged it and is still clinging on to the promise of it being desirable

<insert any ad for a Land Rover Defender here>

I simply fail to understand how a 25 year old, rusty farm truck can be worth 15k just because it's done  less than 5 million miles.

Only pisses me off because I want one desperately and they cost more than I've earned in my entire life.

£10,500 Rover Montego. Advert consists of some scanned photographs probably taken years ago.

25,000 miles

Always love how "rare" equates to "valuable" in the warped minds of many.

Startlingly knowledgable descriptions and two examples of the Joe 90 NSU from the puppet TV series..

Just asked Mrs BMH if she fancied buying me a birthday pressie. Showed her the pic of the Rapier, clearly she doesn't love me enough.

"FRO if you think you're having another one of these" was her reply.

Sadly I think divorce would be quite a bit more expensive!

Sad to say, it’s because the are all being shipped over here to ‘Merica.

They sell well and for big money. One for $25k is a rarity with most starting in the $30ks.

I wouldn’t mind one either, but sadly know that unless I sell my newly running weekender and add a bit on top, a Defender is unlikely to ever be in my future either.

I thought they were crushing them as the were driven off the boat as the only thing 25 years old is the chassis plate
