If it was absolutely mint then maybe I could just about see it being worth somewhere north of £1k but its not. It just looks like a sound enough but not exactly cherished old car.

The only time R9/11s seem to be expensive is if they are absolutely immaculate or seriously rare (Turbos, TXE Electronic etc)

Theres a lot nicer R11 TXE Electronic with lower miles and much more desirable (and belonging to someone who lurks hereabouts  ) on Car and Classic for less money.

That GTE might be expensive but it is lovely!

Although oddly it has the standard fit wheel trims but an alloy spare from a CD model.

Don't people rob the engines out of those Piazzas for something?

Maybe he's heard they're popular for that.

The engines aren't that popular among the Chevette and Manta brigade - they're basically a Midi \ Fargo van engine with a turbo. Easier and cheaper to get a CIH or a REDTOP INNIT BLAD YIHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Now, the back axles.............don't fit anything directly but are popular with the aforementioned folk who want a cheap LSD. Despite the Piazza having different mounting points. And being two inches wider than a Chevette. 4ZC1 engine swaps are popular in NZ and Australia but not here - Mark of the Nightmares on le forum bleu did a Chevetter with Piazza running gear, mind.

my preference for my cars is to be slammed and rimmed

Its still got all the crap stickers shown in the pictures

Because a JDM shocker sticker, symbolising a "two in the pink, one in the stink" gesture would be SO much funnier/cooler

Number plate worth ££££ to Stiff Little Fingers fans. Bonus points to anyone (else) who manages to mention Inflammable Material and a reference to said Fiat in same sentence.

this is awesome. I have a b3 but I love this

These people operate on an entirely different planet to the rest of us, how the absolute fuck can such a shit-heap of an old Pisshat be worth £1750?

How funny would it be if he gets that for it?

Re the Passat, I still don't get the 'stick a roof rack of old shit' theme that anything remotely

Volkswagen related usually exhibits. Yes, I can see it on an old 50's / 60's Beetle in a chintzy

sort of way but a miserably dull shagged 80's Passat? Nope...

I was about to post a Ford Pop in snotty-looking condition for an unreasonable £1700, but then I stumbled across this for £3750:

Looks like it hasn't moved for some time and complete with 1982-spec MOT welding* repairs at the back.

If anyone's desperate enough I know where there's a very tidy looking Rover 820 (or 8 series of some sort) limousine for sale at about £2,250.

On the topic of Renner 11/9, I bought mine with a years test and 6 months tax for £350... Sold it for the same when I realised a spring had snapped, the NSR brake was the only one that worked out of the four and it burnt more oil than BP in the ocean.

Then, with a light sanding of the front wings BUT the same rusty arches which on the GTL, are covered with thick plastic cladding making them perfectly overlookable, it's up for £1995.

It was ready for the knackers yard when I had it! Oh, and the clutch was fucked too.
